Not a B&B or a hotel ! A friendly family run Auberge, with country charm, and a four seasons destination at the heart of the Eastern townships. After only 2 years in business, our restaurant is well known in the area. As part of "Chef Créateur" we offer a seasonal cuisine with local products. Our guests come for our numerous "made to measure" packages (ski, golf, trekking, cycling, Route des Vins, Blues Festival, specialized workshop...).

We stopped for one night on the way to skiing in Vermont from Toronto. Arrived around 9pm and had cocktails by the fireplace. The room was cute and clean, and the staff friendly and efficient. In the morning home made breakfast was yummy with locally sourced bacon. Would

Spent a weekend in Sutton skiing and stayed at the Auberge for 2 nights. It was a nice quiet spot conveniently located between the town and the ski hill. The room was clean and comfortable. It was a bit small but I thought it was fine. If you need a bigger room, I'm sure

We visited the Auberge for the "Sutton en blues" festival, enjoying the wonderful music of Chris Antonik and his band. It was a perfect getaway weekend. We enjoyed a great gourmet dinner (with the best butternut squash soup), a table near the stage to soak in the fabulous

My wife and I had dinner one evening while visiting Sutton. Salad served was freshly picked and extremely delicious. The wines were local. Lamb was tender and had local vegetables, adorned with marigold petals. If you tend to enjoy dessert, be sure to order their upside-down

We spent 3 days over the Labour Day weekend at Auberge Des Appalache. Having read the previous trip advisor reviews I was expecting something quite different. The room was small with sparse furnishings. The carpets were stained, and the bedspread worn. There were no amenities

Response from Appalaches, Propriétaire at Auberge des Appalaches

Bonjour, I am sorry to read that you found your stay disappointing. Indeed my establishment is not in the village of Sutton, as well described on Tripadvisor and other websites. All my bedrooms are also well described on my website, where you could have seen that none of them have television and having a bar at the Auberge you could have asked for a coffee. If you wished a bigger room with fridge, I had my "superior" rooms available. I was the only person doing the housekeeping for the weekend, as my housekeeper asked me for one weekend off ! I remembered asking you if you needed something for your room. With your negative answer I assumed that you were in no need of extra towels, amenity products... For that, I apologise for this miscommunication and misunderstanding. I think you were excepting a bigger establishment than my small famiy run business where all my staff work extremely hard and give their best. Regards, Patricia Gérard
