stayed for a shorter drive to airport in the very early AM (2am) - perfectly adequate. Daytime desk clerk helpful. Room and bathroom clean but the shower is terrible, cool to scalding and back. Poor room lighting, Immigration security guards in the hotel kinda unfriendly. Lots of food and shopping options nearby. We got dinner from Greek place across street.
Rooms are in Need to be upgraded But It’s clean and quiet Beds are comfortable Wi-if is great Parking is spacious Restaurant on site is wonderful Breakfast is excellent Staff is great Hôtel is walking distance to many restaurants and the canal and bike path. FYI : Immigration Canada is on site, So that was a surprise seeing security at the front door in the lobby and on floor 3-4-5 with immigrants staying there.
Great location, comfy bed, close to amenities, warm staff...great carry out breakfast. Happy to find a place south of montreal to rest on this leg of the journey...happy to stay and would stay again. Thanks
We were there for two nights and the first night was fine. Hotel was easy to find, plenty of parking and check in process was great. Front desk staff realized my french was limited and between the two of us managed a combination of french and English to accomplish the task. Nicely done. Found mold on the grouting in the washroom but other wise room was clean. Bathroom could use updating but for the price paid no complaints. Breakfast was included and was good and appreciated. One caveat is if there is a hockey tournament nearby, this may be the hotel of choice. Did not see a lot of parents but a ton of kids running around. One elevator broke and the kids were using the other one, ended up walking up the stairs. Stairs are metal and as kids played on them all evening and night, you could hear the noise in the room. Next morning breakfast room was overrun by kids and we did not even try. Not necessarily a hotel issue but seems like a crowd at the hotel strains the capacity. Based on the first night, would not hesitate to return, based on the second night would likely stay elsewhere if is was a weekend just to avoid the hockey teams.…
My third and last stay. The rooms are clean but I suggest you bring an extension cord if you wish to plug your computer at the work desk. They don't serve "a la carte" breakfast at their restaurant anymore. And prepare to be seriously scalded if you want to take a shower. Because for some reason the water will change temperature for about 5 seconds every couple of minutes.
Cant understand the negative reviews? Lovely hotel, high quality room with extra touches. Indoor pool we didn't use but gym was good. Excellent parking, enough for a heap of trucks and great if towing. Close to highway but no noise. Walk to the river and canal or take a short drive to explore entire canal with locks. Breakfast was the best in over 250 USA/Canada nights. Large dining room, hard plates and cups, real cutlery with an amazing lady to bring coffee to your table. The food was also brilliant, real scrambled eggs cooked not stirred from a packet. We had tea the night before, $18 ea for pasta cooked exactly how you want it, very nice with endless desert. Don't buy a wine, rip off half fill glass for $9 (pathetic). Very enjoyable stay, one of the best joints we have used for under $100 via their own site.…
Hotel well located, 2 minutes from the #35 highway. First visit to this hotel. Free outdoor parking. Quick check-in process. Outdated but clean room/bathroom. OK for an overnight stay. Buffet breakfast served on site between 7am-10am, a bit expensive though ($16 per person). I would return for a business overnight stay but not for a family getaway.
It started with the reservation, I made 2, but was emailed the same one twice so I had to call back. The suite was outdated, especially the bathroom. Breakfast was chaos as there was a bus tour in the hotel.
On arrival first thing was the horrible odor that was coming from the laundry first their sheets and towels to which they were leaving the door open despite it being in the main lobby and right next to the elevators which only helped to spread the smell throughout the hotel. Staff were cold. When asked about restaurant hours we were given the wrong hours and when we went down to eat in the morning it was closed and staff were not sure when exactly it would open. Room was not cleanest and towels smelled old and looked old. Will not stay here again.
Arrival: Stayed for two nights and booked well in advance with a group for a soccer tournament. Arrived at 2pm on Saturday and was told our room would not be ready till 4pm and they could not offer us another one (2 double beds). We did not get into our room till almost 5pm. Guest after guest arrived and had the same issues. Room: The room is okay, however the bathroom was very outdated and full of mold in the shower and around the tub. The water cycled from burning hot to cold and I would not put a child under it. Air conditioners were so loud. Hotel: The hotel did not have air conditioning in the hallways on any floor. They have only ONE ice machine on the 4th floor and it was broken. They had the same broken sign on their coffee maker in the main lobby. We found a patio to sit on but needed to access through the pool which was nearly impossible. Garbage was left all day and night by the elevator doors from the cleaners. Pool: The pool was super tiny only open between 4-10pm. It was full of chlorine. You needed to trade in your hotel key to get a pool access key. Hey only had a handful of keys. This was ridiculously inconvenient. The only good thing about the pool was they had a life guard on duty. Staff: The staff were completely overwhelmed and difficult at times due to ridiculous policies from the hotel management. Restaurant: It was only open Sat/Sun for breakfast and Sat night for dinner. The hotel was full of guests and yet they did not have enough staff on hand for service. Despite this the staff worked very hard. They food was okay. Unless you have a free breakfast coupon I would drive to Oeuf Plus just down the road for a wonderful breakfast. Recommendation: I would not stay here. It was way over priced and clearly the hotel is cutting corners with staffing, maintenance and upkeep.…
