We booked dinner and theatre online for Isle aux Coudres. While the theatre experience was excellent the dinner experience was terrible. It was overpriced for what we received. The food served was not of quality. Quebec has so many great foods - shame that it was not being served there. The servers could barely understand french or english. Not their fault but could have used more training.

Stayed 3 nights with a tour group. The manager was nice, staff try very much to please , cottages need some updates the sparse furniture older , worn and painted many times Had to locate a working outlet to charge phone. There is fan, refrigerator and coffee maker. The chairs are early camp rustic and pillows need replacement. The style was 1940-1950. The beds , linens , and pillows were from the same time. The bath towels were thin and stiff. And small. We were told the water could not be drunk so they provided bottled , the manager said water safe but had to tell guests to not drink. mr Solomon was pleasant, and tried to make sure things were ok. He is not the owner only the Manager. The young Frenchman that worked there was very kind . If the accommodations were update it would be a nice place to relax and enjoy the beauty of the St Lawrence River. Hopefully the owners will update. Otherwise , If I was going back I would look elsewhere to stay. Personally, I like nice linens and towels.

We stayed 3 nights here and we're treated so well. The chefs prepare delicious and nutritious food, plus beverages and dessert. The rooms are more like cabins, but very clean and comfortable, and very close to the dining room. There are chairs outside the doors, and a small lake alongside the rooms. Also beautiful flowers all around. In the evenings they provided entertainment, too, which was fun and enjoyable. We would definitely come here again.

Our room overlooked the St Lawrence River valley...it was nice to sit outside and enjoy the view. The room itself was pretty minimal and somewhat dated, but clean and sufficient for our needs. We were only there one night so it wasn't a big deal. We had dinner and breakfast in the dining room and were very happy with both meals. Mostly French spoken here on the island and staff have a bit of a time understanding English, but they are very friendly and seemed happy to try! A pleasant adventure overall.

Stayed her for one night in early June. Not sure that they were really open for business as we were the only people there! Think their season doesn't really start until June 21st. First impression of the room was a bit disappointing. A little old fashioned and damp and cold! It was pouring with rain and chilly so I don't think that helped. Once we cranked up the heat it seemed better. The beds were comfortable and we both slept well. Towels were on the thin side and very little!! There was however plenty of hot water and good water pressure. We were in room 46 and the view was breathtaking. For the view alone I would recommend this property.

WE brought a group of 43 persons in September of 2013 for a 3 nights stay/booking 25 rooms. I cannot say enough GOOD words about this property. Some of us felt saddened that we had to leave so soon. The rooms were comfortable and clean with most having a fantastic view of the St. Lawrence River in a very peaceful, quiet setting; the dining area was also very well kept & clean and our meals were delicious and served by extremely friendly ladies; our step-on-guide, Brad, was always available and most kind, helpful, friendly, as he showed us points of interest on the Island and elsewhere. I would highly recommend the Auberge La Coudriere for your stay.
