The hotel itself is fine. Comfortable bed and clean enough. The restaurant though is something else. We were told to wait to be seated even though it was a Sunday night and the place was almost empty. Our group waited 15 minutes then finally were told if we didn't have a reservation we couldn't get a table. Not that they...

We stayed here two times this summer and both times were excellent. Staff on front desk were friendly, rooms were clean and beds comfortable. I have many times paid alot more for rooms in other hotels that wouldn't compare to this. Also only a couple doors up the road is a gas station with big store and McDonalds.

We were looking for a place convenient to the ferry, and ended up choosing the Econo Lodge in an online search. When we got there, the outside was pretty sketchy-looking, but when we went into the lobby we realized it had been renovated, and our room was actually well above average. The restaurant and bar were also clean and pleasant,...

This place reminds me of an old saying: "Don't try to do many things well, do ONE thing great". This Econo Lodge (most Econo Lodges for that matter) is on the lower spectrum of hotels and are often old and outdated and live up to the term "you get what you pay for". NOT THIS PLACE ! It's like nobody...

My brother and I were exausted afin a long drive and this hotel was right on our way. We stopped for the night and had a very nice 2 beds bedroom. Very clean, so quiet that it is one of my best night in an hotel. Best part, no need to go outside to get to the lobby and more...

Like others, staying here was determined by a ferry passage. Although it looks very basic from the outside the room was large and in good order with a big comfortable bed, the best work station we had in our entire 2+ week trip and good broadband speed. Dinner too was an OK experience. There were lots of keenly priced inclusive...

To catch the first ferry of the day to Rimouski, we decided to overnight in Forestville. Econolodge is the only "chain" choice; we were prepared to accept whatever conditions we found. Years of travel steeled us to not expect very much - sometimes being a "travel-through" town discourages owners and guests from treating properties well. We were very pleasantly surprised...

Having arrived at Baie-Comeau on the ferry from Matane at 7.20pm, I had wanted an overnight stop somewhere towards Tadoussac. Forestville seemed midway and the Econolodge came up on Expedia and other hotel websites as the only viable option. It was a fairly typical motel-style establishment, rough at the edges but clean and comfortable. The hotel is in a central...
