It's amazing to watch the Chefs cook for 60 diners at one time, while cooking on an open fire. Pretty spectacular. However the food doesn't match the experience. Go for the show, and enjoy the great ambiance. Rooms are also pretty great and the service is very accommodating.

My wife and 7-year old twins traveled from Atlanta Georgia to Bay Fortune. Had a wonderful time touring the entire Inn and it's grounds. Really an amazing operation, with engaging team members who love everything they do. On Friday evening my wife and I enjoyed the "Feast". What an awesome experience. Can't say how much we enjoyed everything. Don't miss... More

The facility is amazing (especially our room C9), the view spectacular, the food is outstanding, the staff very friendly. It's also quite pricey (for us anyway) but absolutely worth every penny. I highly recommend this to anyone celebrating a special occasion, even if you can only manage 1 night.

Wow, what a night!!! Spent the night at the Inn with a couple of girlfriends. What a great spot of a girls night or for couples. We had a lovely courtyard room which is beautifully decorated. Modern and clean without losing it's cozy chic cottage Inn feel. As there were 3 of us, there were 3 coffee mugs, 3 glasses,... More

What is not to love about a friendly and hardworking team who greet you with enthusiasm the moment you walk through the door? We stayed four nights in our tasteful and very comfortable room. The breakfasts were so delicious, especially the cinnamon buns, and the ultimate decadence was The Feast, a multi-course meal served outside and in on the glorious... More

This was a highly anticipated time with friends. We had lovely rooms in the north tower which were very tasteful and contemporary with a great view of the harbor. The grounds are lovely and the staff are helpful and friendly. The food was a bit heavy but interesting and certainly local. We we attended the feast on our first evening... More

We had a beautiful room in the North Tower on the second floor. We spoke to. many guests happy with their rooms in other parts of the Inn. Rooms are unique. We met some folks including a former classmate from high school. The fireside dinner is a great way to meet new people and make life long friends. Excellent overall... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Built in 1913 as the summer home of Broadway playwright Elmer Harris (His most notable work being Johnny Belinda), Fortune, Prince Edward Island was the summer residence of many New York City Broadway and silent screen types that fled the Big Apple to beat the heat. Many parties took place here with conversations and frolicking going on late into the night. As years passed, our property had another famous owner. Actress Colleen Dewhurst, her husband, hollywood actor George C. Scott and their children stayed here during the summer months and shared their hilltop wonder with famous friends including Elizabeth Taylor. In 1989 the Wilmer family transformed the property into a country inn. 1991 marked the arrival of Chef Michael Smith and by 1998 the Inn had grown so much that a new kitchen, dining room and guest wing were added. April of 2015 marks the return of Chef Michael, his wife Chastity and the launch of their innovative new dining concept, FireWorks! ... more   less
