We were very excited to the idea of dinning at Firework. Indeed the environment was amazing. The different stations offering finger food was great. Once we got to our seating I was a bit suprised on how many people they are seating at the table. I think it would be reasonable that you are confortably seated in order to enjoy... More

Michael Smith and his wife are delightful and charming hosts. We stayed in a nice room with a very comfortable bed with luxe sheets. The room and inn had a wonderful spa like fragrance. Very restful. The food was underwhelming, but everything else was very nice. All around a good experience. A nice getaway for a day or two.

I booked this dinner months before we went and looked so forward to it!. The staff at The Inn at Bay Fortune did not disappoint! They were welcoming, friendly and willing to explain all the dishes. I even received a mini oyster shucking lesson. The evening starts with special drinks(which are an extra cost) and a roam around the grounds... More

So much to rave about regarding the Inn at Bay Fortune...my only complaint is that my husband only stayed a night! From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, I felt looked after and cared for. I loved the aesthetics of the grounds and the inn itself, not to mention the beautiful "Fireworks" Kitchen where the "Feast" and... More

It was a great experience to eat here something you would only do once ,as it's super expensive . Michael Smith was very nice and the staff were great . Being a dessert queen and baker I thought the desserts were very poor . Had a great experience !

Just returned from a week reunion with university girlfriends which included a much anticipated stay at The Inn. The property is incredibly beautiful, with unique creative touches found at every turn. Although we have traveled quite extensively we have never found a hotel or resort with such creative, tasteful decor that is so well suited to the surroundings. Our room,... More

The FireWorks was fantastic, from the Oyster hour to the multi course meal it was a wonderful evening. I have an extremely complicated medical diet and all the chefs were extremely accommodating and helpful, especially chef Michael Smith. I cannot rate the hotel as we were only there for dinner.

We stayed here in early July for a couple of nights. We enjoyed our visit very much and had high expectations given the reviews. Our room was fine, the bed comfortable but not worth the high price tag. The tub seemed dated and shower pressure just so so. Our big disappointment was the Feast. The food was just so so.... More

It's amazing to watch the Chefs cook for 60 diners at one time, while cooking on an open fire. Pretty spectacular. However the food doesn't match the experience. Go for the show, and enjoy the great ambiance. Rooms are also pretty great and the service is very accommodating.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Built in 1913 as the summer home of Broadway playwright Elmer Harris (His most notable work being Johnny Belinda), Fortune, Prince Edward Island was the summer residence of many New York City Broadway and silent screen types that fled the Big Apple to beat the heat. Many parties took place here with conversations and frolicking going on late into the night. As years passed, our property had another famous owner. Actress Colleen Dewhurst, her husband, hollywood actor George C. Scott and their children stayed here during the summer months and shared their hilltop wonder with famous friends including Elizabeth Taylor. In 1989 the Wilmer family transformed the property into a country inn. 1991 marked the arrival of Chef Michael Smith and by 1998 the Inn had grown so much that a new kitchen, dining room and guest wing were added. April of 2015 marks the return of Chef Michael, his wife Chastity and the launch of their innovative new dining concept, FireWorks! ... more   less
