Location parking and rooms good. Price was ok until the lady at the front desk charged me extra. Check in immediately made me want to leave. Sandy at the front desk was extremely rude and unwelcoming to say it as polite as possible. Barked at me about charging me extra because my daughter came with me then basically shooed me through my deposit with my visa. I asked about a receipt to include my sons name for medical receipt purposes and she rudely told me that since I didn’t book directly through the hotel they don’t provide receipts. Mmmmm ok all the other hotels have provided me with receipts without issue. We had a long day at the hospital in Toronto and this treatment upon our late check in was definitely triggering some negative feelings. I had to step away before I expressed my extreme displeasure. Like WOW!!!! Definitely not recommending this hotel and will not stay here again. Lots of hotels to choose from in Vaughan area!!! …

Hotel's Favorite
Great hotel. Free breakfast and parking. Rooms clean and spacious. Good choice at breakfast. The hotel is a 10 minute walk from the metro station which takes you into Toronto. The ticket is only $3.50.

We stayed at Monte Carlo for our trip to Vaughan/Toronto and I must say, despite the very mixed reviews, I was extremely impressed. The service was superb; staff were very attentive to us and they were very kind. The hotel/room itself was very clean and pretty up to date for a cheap hotel in this area. The room was cozy, comfortable, and a bonus; the AC unit was excellent for tackling the hot weather we endured while in Ontario. Breakfast was average — your typical toast, boiled eggs, pastries, yogurt, etc.. but overall it was good and we always left satisfied. My only suggestion for this hotel is that they get an ATM — the night of our arrival, we had an issue with the debit/credit cards and almost didn’t get let into our room (at 2am mind you!) despite half the price already being paid. The front desk employee suggested us paying the rest in cash but said they didn’t have an ATM and we could go to a gas station nearby to get some cash. Again, not really feasible at 2am for two people who hadn’t ever been to the area before. Other than that, Monte Carlo Inn is certainly a place I’d suggest someone to stay!…

Worst breakfast ever. Cold hard boiled eggs. Disgusting. At least some faux bacon or sausage might have eased my angst. Also the restaurant is still on the web page but has not been open since covid started.

Beware of this place. We booked with Expedia and when checking in they charged us a 4.99% currency conversion fee even though we used a credit card. When we questioned it, they denied it was them and blamed Capital One and Mastercard... who both confirmed that it was the hotel that did this. Don't recommend doing any business with them.

We were shocked to find a clump of hair between the sheets in our first room. It was disgusting and unacceptable! We immediately called the front desk and they apologized and helped us switch rooms. We appreciated their quick response and professionalism. The second room was spotless and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay at the hotel, which was conveniently located near the mall we wanted to visit.

Very nice hotel in convenient location. Close to shopping and good restaurants - Vaughan Mills shopping is at the next exit north on 400. Easy to get to from hwy 400. Staff were friendly. We had a nice room. Very quiet area. Plenty of parking. Would definitely stay here again.

Hotel was quiet and clean checky in and out was easy The hotel has breakfast but it’s only a basic breads,bagels with spreads and juice and coffee Location is convenient to a Walmart across the street and the TTC subway is about a 10 minute walk from the hotel Overall it was a great place to stay would definitely stay again next time

Arrogant staff, couldn't/wouldn't tell me how to come downtown. Couldn't advice anything about nearby dining possibilities. Breakfast a bad joke. Got bit by some insect in the bed. 100 CAD deposit still not canceled 1 month after 😡 Don't go there, there're better hotels nearby.

Stayed on the 6th floor. Room quiet, very spacious, beds comfortable but pillows were lumpy . Great Breakfast variety for a continental breakfast. They had 2 toasting areas. Staff friendly and helpful. Lots of shopping and restaurants around this area. Would recommend staying here.
