Very accommodating hosts! A last minute booking on our part and we were made welcome into their entire home...dog and all. A lovely couple who enjoy meeting new people from all over the world. They care about their guests and it shows.

The Great Lake, Superior, can be well surveyed from Rossport, Ontario. There are National Parks that provide both vistas and internal marvels, like the majestic and powerful Rainbow Falls. The B & B On the Beach, owned and operated by Billy Jo and Bill Keating, is an excellent place from which to do this exploring, and to return to from a full day of discovery. The hosts are genuine locals who know and understand the warp and woof of the area to a high degree of knowledge that covers the topography, culture, history, weather and local news. For those who are seeking deeper understanding of this exceptional area, staying there is immeasurably enhanced by the owners. Their B&B is immaculate, spacious, quiet, and endlessly interesting due to the architecture, design, and memorabilia which helps a visitor appreciate the culture and history of the area. The bedrooms open on to a private and spacious area on the second floor that permits stretching out and watching TV if that is one's want. Breakfast is presented with grace and attention to detail, presentation, and wholesomeness. Although we were there in the autumn, it is obvious that their shore-edge location affords immediate access to the lake for boating and swimming during warmer periods. The little village of Rossport is only a ten minute drive from the Keating's. I suggest that one visit the local potter there, Tim Alexander, whose work reflects the aesthetic of the region.

I was lucky enough to stay at the Beautiful B&B on the Beach with BJ and Billy during a short work trip to Terrace Bay. I had never been to a B&B prior, but boy was I suprised! Their quant home has such character and history, loved just looking around at the charm, photos and items they have throughout their place. You can tell that every corner of their home is sprinkled with love and warmth! BJ and Billy were such amazing hosts, so welcoming and informative! It was absolutly as though we were family from the second we walked in. And, of course the food was nothing short of spectacular! Every componant of their meal was homemade from the hand picked Blueberries made into syrup to the Bread for the French Toast. The rooms were so cozy and clean! Every creature comfort thought of while putting this place together. I don't usually sleep too well in Hotel Rooms, but I can say I was out like a log here! The bedrooms run off of a living space/ living room with movies, T.V., Games etc. completely seperate from the rest of the house. The living room has it's own balcony overlooking the huge expansive Lake Superior. I was definetly plesently surprised with this Gem! Thank you BJ and Billy for your Hospitality. See you soon - Love from Winnipeg

We keep coming back to this gem on Lake Superior. BJ and Bill Keating are so welcoming and generous. Lodging is comfortable and our stay relaxing. Beautiful view of Lk Superior and the nearby Rossport Islands for excellent Trout Fishing in our 17.5’ fishing boat. We arrived during wild blueberry harvest. Bill does the picking and BJ makes the most spectacular blueberry pie.

We had one night in Rossport on our circle tour, and we were fortunate to get a room with Billie Jo and Bill. From the moment we arrived, we felt like family. Billie Jo and Bill are wonderful hosts and have a great home. The beds were very comfortable and the conversations were easy. Billie Jo is an excellent cook as well - the breakfast was amazing. If we ever get up this way again, we'll stay here for a couple of nights.
