Talwood Manor was an overnight stop on our cycling tour of Niagara. Judith was extremely friendly and helpful during our stay. Accommodations were beautiful with lovey extras as robes and refreshments. Location is great, easy to the trail, canal and downtown. Breakfast was delicious!!!! As we were her only guests that night she kindly packed us some bake goods “to go” I would highly recommend this Bed and Breakfast.
My husband and I spent three comfortable nights here in the Tudor Room of this magnificent older home. We had a private bathroom and enclosed balcony where we enjoyed a glass of wine before dinner. Upstairs on the hallway there is a guest refrigerator with water, milk and canned soft drinks. Coffee and tea is also available for guest use. The three course breakfasts are gourmet and delicious, especially her crêpes, all presented on a beautifully set table. The home is a short, pleasant walk to the canal district where we enjoyed watching ships pass by, dine at restaurants and shop. Judith made sure we were well prepared for our days of sightseeing with maps and helpful tips on where to go. Judith is a warm and gracious host who pays attention to detail. She gave us homemade pumpkin spice muffins to take for our trip home which were so yummy. We highly recommend this excellent bnb and hope to revisit if we return to Port Colborne in the future. …
This was our third time staying at Talwood Manor and it was just as perfect as our previous stays. Host Judith is so kind, welcoming and accommodating. It's hard not to feel like your visiting with family. The rooms are luxurious and so so clean. This time we stayed in the beautiful Tudor room with a private 3 piece bath and balcony. Every room is wonderful. The surrounding grounds are also very pretty. A garden gazebo invites you to just sit and relax. If your lucky, you may even be visited by a furry resident! Breakfast was fabulous. A 3 courses breakfast is offered and you get to choose the main from a menu. We recommend the eggs benedict. Thank you Judith for a great stay once again. See you again soon. Judith is a pro and has thought of everything. complimentary hot and cold beverages, wine fridge and opener, bath salts, etc. It's a gorgeous old house, short walk to the canal and to the downtown area. Free bike storage and can even transport bikes from one B&B to another for a small charge. Great breakfast!
My partner and took a three day bike trip that brought us to Port Colborne. Judith was a delightful host. She offered everything that we could possibly need, spoke knowledgeably about the history of the area and was able to recommend several places for dinner (on her recommendation we chose the Canalside Restaurant on West street - the food was delicious and we got to watch a ship pass through the Welland Canal as we ate. It was very cool). The home itself is beautiful and comfortable. Judith has done an excellent job of balancing preserving historically interesting (and beautiful) parts of her home with providing modern comforts (air conditioning etc.) Breakfast was very skillfully cooked and delicious. My partner is a vegetarian and Judith kindly accommodated this. Judith's attention to detail is very impressive. It seems like she has thought of every detail to make a stay more comfortable (a small fridge tucked into our closet, filtered water, a garage to store our bikes safely in etc.). She is also very conscious of the risk of COVID, taking all reasonable precautions (consistently wearing masks and encouraging guests to do the same, providing lots of hand sanitizer, thorough cleaning). Also she very kindly gave us some (delicious) homemade lemon loaf as a snack to take on our ride. All in all A+++. I would be delighted to stay here again. Thanks Judith!…
