We recently spent our 10th wedding anniversary at Pine Cove and were treated like royalty. Wasn't long into our visit that we met the owner, Alex. You can tell he absolutely loves running Pine Cove and has paid very close attention to all of the little details to make your stay so memorable (like delicious teas and funky pots/tea cups...

I had the great fortune of spending time at The Lodge at Pine Cove this past week. My original intention was to simply do some guided kayaking in the area. As my schedule was very tight and I was driving from 4 hours away, Nicola was fantastic to work with me so I could take part of one of their...

What a glorious time! If you would like to experience the beautiful Canadian summer...rent your own personal luxury cottage here! If you don't want to cook while you are here...that is great because they have the most amazing restaurant! WOW! What a unique, tranquil, and perfect place for newlyweds to relax - connect - and enjoy the outdoors. My husband I just returned from our honeymoon at The Lodge at Pine Cove and we could not have been happier with our experience/stay. The staff was so welcoming, our cabin was luxurious and included a HUGE soaker tub overlooking the...

We recently returned from a week at Pine Cove and can say unequivocally that it is the most peaceful and relaxing week we have had in a long time. Alex and his team do a wonderful job of taking care of your every whim and the tranquility and quiet nature of the site is unmatched. From the private cabin, to...

I had the pleasure of staying at The Lodge at Pine Cove last week for 4 nights. This was my first solo trip away from the big city. I stayed in the Hopkins cottage which was close to the main cabin, which was good since I had to walk back to get a spare key after locking myself out. (More...

I stayed in Frances Simpson cottage for 2 nights on May 20, 2014. I asked for a newer cottage, and did not mind paying more. I was originally asked to quote for the "Kraft Dinner no more package", as the quote at this pre-summer time for this package was $318 per person plus 10% plus HST of 13%, at a...

I just came back from early Spring on the Canadian Shield at Pine Cove. The event was five days at their third annual Creative Writers' Retreat. The Lodge is right at the far end of the long road down the north side of French River valley that runs east off Kings Highway 69. After an exceptionally hard winter, the ice...

Canoeing the rapids of the French River has long been on our list of things to do and we were looking for a quick weekend getaway. The Lodge at Pine Cove was fantastic. The cabin was spectacular and comfortable and we had an incredible view. Breakfast was delivered to our room in the morning and was delicious. The Lodge packed...

Thank-you so much for the lovely review. It is so wonderful in the middle of winter to be reminded of warm water, canoes and good food. I look forward to returning to the lodge for another season and I hope we see you again soon. All the best, Alex Strachan Innkeeper The Lodge at Pine Cove

Although only here for one night, I would definitely come back for a longer stay --it's a place to "get away from it all". Our cabin faced east and the misty sunrise in the mornings, combined with the loon callings, was spectacular and terrific for picture taking or painting.. Dinner in the lodge itself is a feast to be enjoyed....
