The Mattewas-End Bed and Breakfast offered an interestingly home, atmosphere which kept the eyes searching for Harry Potter. Our room was clean and well appointed and opened to a rooftop garden. Breakfast was served in the library and was a three course marvel. Host, and french chef Roland, kept us surprised over the three mornings of our stay. An orange,...

My daughter and I stayed here for three nights in July. The accommodations were fine but the breakfasts were extraordinary. Roland, our host, must love to cook. The fresh baked croissants were buttery, flaky and light as a feather. Everything was tasty; I especially like the desert portion of each morning's meal. Delightful way to start the day.

We really enjoyed our stay there this week. Roland was a very kind host and amazing cook! The breakfast was gourmet and filled us up well past the dinner hour! We appreciated all the little touches left in our room such as fresh cut roses, chocolates, slippers and robe, tea, etc. The room (Walker room) and bathroom were very nice...

We stayed for one night in the Walker Room. It has a beautiful, new ensuite bathroom plus a garden roof top patio. Mettawas End is an old house with lots of charm but updated to bring all the comforts of home. The bed and pillows were fantastic as well. Roland is a fantastic host, extremely laid back and accommodating. You...

We only spent one night at Mettawas End but will be back again. Roland, the host and chef extraordinaire is friendly, entertaining, informative and an amazing chef. Our four course breakfast was delicious and unique. From freshly squeezed orange juice, coffee and fresh from the oven croissants to an amazing main entrée of soufflé, sausage and herbed tomatoes, we anticipated...

lovely B&B but the best is Roland's amazing breakfast....you just have to go and try it yourself. Guaranteed you will not be disappointed! The rooms are great, comfy and the location is good as well. We were there in May and it was cool but we strolled the park and really enjoyed the blooms.

What a great place to stop for active travellers! Roland is a marvellous host, and his four-course breakfasts are phenomenal. .. The Mettawas End house is a historic building with many of the architectural quirks of Victorian style. The rooms are decorated in a neo-Victorian style which complements the architecture. The gardens are also beautiful. There are 2 double rooms,...

Roland was a great host and he served us fantastic breakfast. The walker room was comfortable with rooftop sit out overlooking the lake. Our trip was spoiled by bad weather and cold blustering wind, We cancelled out boa tride to the Pelee island due to bad weather and instead took a winding drive to amherstburg. This historically important township was...

“There are two rooms. The Walker room has an very large ensuite bath, the other room has a bathroom down the hall. It is nice too (I peeked) but if you want total privacy, chose the Walker room. It also has an amazing private patio overlooking the yard. Definitely worth the few extra dollars. Also, this B&B is almost directly across from the ferry dock to Pelee Island.”
