Convenient location and Nice view . An average motel that may seem overpriced for its class but there aren't many choices in the area so you will end up paying more or less the same rate for similar motel . You can get best rate by calling the motel directly and book your room with them over the phone .... More

We booked this last minute, online but wished we had read the reviews first. A grossly over priced Motel, it was double the amount than the lovely B&B we stayed in down the road yet nowhere near as nice. Extremely noisy from plumbing, other guests and the police that were called in the night to break up the commotion just... More

Online pictures are deceiving. Beds were not comfortable, blind in bathroom was broken. Other reviews suggest recent updates - not sure what the updates were! Certainly was not worth $140/night. I would never go back or recommend this place.

Great location . What a view of the Trent River....beautiful grounds.. minutes to downtown Campbellford. Rooms have been updated with new beds and flat screen TV's.. Motel has 20 rooms , 10 rooms on lower floor and 10 rooms on second floor. Speak to the owners as they can recommend some great Restaurants in the area. Second floor has great... More

We stayed for one night at the River Inn. Our first impression upon driving up to it was to keep driving, but unfortunately there were no vacancies anywhere else. The exterior is really run down. The roof desperately needs replacing, and the stairway and 2nd floor walkway are rickety and would likely not pass any type of building code. The... More

My father was in the hospital in Campbellford and we needed a place close. This was the closest place to stay which was available. I could walk to the hospital, as well as downtown Campbellford - everything was close for me. I didn't notice the smells that the other reviews complained about and we had no noise issues. I've found... More

This place is a bit too pricey being in the country. You can find a motel for $80 in the Comfort Inn in Cobourg and has breakfast. This place charges like $140 a night with one tiny little bar of soap, the lighting is very dim and some bulbs need replacement. For some reason, you cannot get a single room... More

The room was expensive compared to other motels in the area. More importantly, the first thing I noticed as soon as I open the door was the smell of cigarette smoke and body odor. When I turned on the lights, I was just as disappointed. The room was outdated and in need of repairs. The toilet tank cover was broken... More

The River Inn Motel is a great place to stay when visiting Campbell Ford. It's really close to the local restaurants and shops. Also, its perfect for staying at when attending a wedding at Polmenna Barn. It's about a 20 minute $30 cab ride. Our room was nice ans clean. The staff very friendly and helpful. At night people were... More

The service was decent at this place, the staff were very nice but the rooms were over priced, the dock on the river was old and looked unsafe. The worst part was that we had a top floor room and could hear the entire conversation of the people in the room below us, until 3 am. They weren't yelling or... More
