We had a "Girl's Weekend", me and my three sisters and ended up in Campbellford (stunning). There were very few options left for hotels and we ended up at the River Inn Motel. We requested one room as we were only there for the night, it was after midnight and we were leaving first thing in the morning. We do this trip every year all over North America and have always shared a double occupancy room without issue. The manager advised us that due to Covid, we could not do this. We told him we were all from the same family, had been travelling together for the last couple of days and that Covid wasn't an issue. He then said it was a fire code violation. It is not. He said that if there were a fire that getting four of us out of one room would be too difficult. We pointed out that getting us out of two locations (as the rooms he was providing were not near one another) seemed to be more of an obstacle than one location. We were tired and just rented two rooms. The difference in the rooms was startling. One room appeared to have all brand new linens and was very clean. I was pleased. The other room was old, smelled musty and the linens were very stained and very old. When we opened the fridge, the strong smell of "rotten pepperoni"immediately filled the room to where we all had to go to the nicer room while it aired out. It was pungent. We were also able to clearly hear the people in the room next to us speaking. When they were in their shower it was as loud as if we were in our own. Do not use the shampoo if you have coloured hair. It completely stripped all the colour from one of us. She said that when she rinsed the shampoo out, the colour was as though she were rinsing freshly dyed hair. I realize that using motel shampoo is risky but because we were separated, the sister with the shampoo (me) was in the other room and at 6 am she decided it would be fine. It was not. The view is very nice.

Came here to visit family for my bday, came for the riverside view/use of dock. This place is family owned and operated, and you couldn’t find a nicer family if you tried! The room was clean and everyone is super friendly!

The Inn is a little dated but the rates are within reason and the fishing is great! The management is friendly and courteous and always cheerful. The rooms are acceptable with decent bathrooms and are very clean. The only problem is that smoking is allowed outside the room. The balcony which you would love to sit out and enjoy is smelling of cigarettes. The rooms do not smell.

The manager of Campbellford River Motel charged my cc full 2 days. We had to cancel due to family emergency. We talked to both trip advisor online and the motel manager 3 days in advance to cancel. Manager would not give me credit and charged my cc full two days. Trip advisor online tried to cancel our reservations as well, but the motel manager didn’t care and wouldn’t credit us. Do not book at Campbellford River Motel.

Booked this place as it’s the only one in area and it was A dump, room was dusty, dirty and smelled of must and poor ventilation. Sheets and coverings were stained, towels were originally white from what I could tell but were more brown or maybe they were brown and are now almost white maybe but not really. The hand rails on the second floor were so loose we thought we were going to fall over. The ac hardly worked, could barely keep the area around it cool. It was so over priced for what it’s worth. The location was great right beside the river but that’s all it had going for it.
