Worth a stop if you need, clean, reasonable accommodation right on the 105. We thought road noise would be a problem but the traffic dies away during the night. Basic strip motel rooms. Excellent on-site owner; nothing was too much trouble. Extremely reasonable rates. Handy for Bras d'Or Lake and Baddeck and of course the Cabot Trail. Fuel and breakfast... More

Accommodation in Baddeck was full so we stayed here & it made a good, inexpensive base for the Cabot Trail (just do-able in a day). The owner, Beatrice, is very pleasant and helpful & runs a very tidy ship. The places to eat nearby were not our cup of tea so we ate 2 excellent breakfasts & a supper in... More

Owner was very helpful and friendly. The furniture and decor were dated but well maintained. Room was clean and the beds were very comfortable. Location near lake provided a lovely view and there is a beach that the locals use to swim in the lake. Some road noise from passing vehicles.

The motel was comfortable and roomy. My wife did find lots of hair in the bath but the beds etc were clean Motel is not too far from Cabot Trail. There is a kids play area on site for young kids The owner was very nice and helpful. We will probably stay here if we are back in the area

We had a quiet evening in a clean hotel room. The owner couldn't have been nicer and more accommodating. Would recommend to anyone looking for an in and out motel on their way to the Cabot Trail. Be sure to visit Big Spruce Brewing!

Stayed 5 nights while we were building a cottage in the area. The room was spotlessly clean. The rooms are dated but comfortable. It looks like the standard 70's highway motel from the road. View out front is spectacular of Bras D'or Lake. Rear view of a mountain. Owner Beatrice is friendly and accommodating. Inexpensive and safe place to sleep.

I booked this motel on the 10th of October 2014 and when I went to confirm my reservation today (the date we are to check in) I was advised the motel was closed due to a death in the family. While I totally understand having to leave for the death I think it was poor customer service not to advise... More

I usually stay in Port Hawkesbury but there was no room. So I drove further up the highway and came across the Aberdeen. The desk lady was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean. The room had a fridge and microwave. Bathroom was very bright and clean. I would stay here again.

Stayed for a week because of business in the area. Nicest staff, quiet and super clean. Great view of the lakes. There is a beautiful brook that runs across the property. On site Laundry came in handy.

I've stayed here many times for business. They always try and fill our needs and even let us store many bags of ice in there freezer for use daily. We have stayed at the other motels in the area and just keep coming back to this one. Not fancy by any means but a nice clean place to lay your... More
