We spent 1 night in caboose #5...nicely set up and decorated with train station memorabilia. Comfortable bed. Very warm day so the air conditioner wasn't able to clear out the heat/ mugginess in the entry way so we couldn't make use of the reading nook/observation area of the cupola...it was cooking up there! Nice gift shop. I wouldn't recommend the... More

We stayed one night at the train station inn with 4 people (2 young kids). The caboose was so much fun for the entire family to stay in, it was clean and fun to try something different. We also ate dinner in the dinning car and had breakfast at the cafe in the station both were excellent, the pancakes were... More

We had lunch in the dining car attached to all the rooms at the Inn. What an awesome experience! Our kids -- ages 6,8 and 9 -- fell in love with the place. They demanded that we stay there for a night! Food was excellent and well prepared. Staff were courteous and kind -- giving us great directions to a... More

Not only did we discover after our lunch that they have pet-friendly accommodations in their plethora of rail cars and cabooses, when we inquired about getting sandwiches or other food to eat at the outdoor tables beside the train station, we were invited along with the dog to dine in Governor General Grey's former private railway car next to their... Very unique boutique hotel experience in a lovely rural setting. We had a fantastic night at the the traincar inn. Our Caboose was comfortable and well equipped. Relaxed cottage-y vibe, but we found the bed/linens/shower adequate and comfortable. Had alot of fun hanging out in the engineer's chairs. Easy walking to the Tatamagouche Brew Co. Delicious breakfast in the cafe.

We spent one night in one of the caboose carriages and will never forget this amazing experience! They have been tastefully refurbished and converted, with huge attention to detail. Very comfortable, with individual heating and a wonderfully powerful, hot shower. Of course it's compact, but actually the living room, area was surprisingly spacious and everything was carefully thought-out. Breakfast in... More

Great location. On the inside the cars feel like the sort of cottage you would rent a few miles down the road, very cosy, all amenities. The dining car was really nice and the food was quite lovely - if you're into craft beer, try what they have on tap. Incredibly quiet location away from the main road, heavily treed.... More

We spent one night in #10, the Caboose and it was a novel experience and fun, but the accomodations were worn. The mattress was well past its prime and the towels were very rough. We ate dinner in the dining car and it was delicious. So was breakfast the next morning in the Train Station. The people who work on... More

The food here is very good. We started with a Caesar salad. The lettuce was very fresh. The crutons were homemade. Served with freshly grated parmigiano, bacon and with a piece of lemon, it was very tastey. We each had the small serving which was actually quite large. I had the pesto pasta with chicken. It arrived hot and again... More

We stayed for two nights early in the season. We stayed in the 1912(?) caboose, then a later model. This is so worthwhile an experience it must be done! The station building has the most amazing gift shop and cafe. One of the passenger carriages houses the restaurant. Our visit was memorable
