Our stay at A Seafaring Maiden was pure luck on our part. In search of real estate in Nova Scotia we needed a home base in the Annapolis Royal area to view property. Just by chance of a internet search we came upon this B&B. We have never had such a hospitable couple as Bill and Ann Marie Monk. Their... More

Solo again on one of my unplanned trips, I was fortunate to stay one night at the Seafaring Maiden. The historic building is in top shape keeping the original style of the design but also providing modern features such as WI FI. It was great experience as Bill and Ann Marie were wonderful host! During our first conversation, I mentioned... More

Staying at A Seafaring Maiden fulfilled a long-held wish that we might stay there one day, after we received a tour of the house six years earlier as we happened to stop in front of the house on a bicycling outing one summer vacation. We struck up a conversation with Bill Monk, one of the owners, and he was kind... More

This was my second visit in four months to the Seafaring Maiden and it truly is just like coming home (if my home was clean and peaceful) with better food. Ann Marie and Bill are the ultimate hosts, knowledgeable of the area, friendly and accommodating. I will be back again.

Very delayed review: we stayed at A Seafaring Maiden B&B last July (2013), it's now Oct 2014; I am just getting around to sending a review full of praises! When we returned home last July, it seemed everything "hit the fan" (hence the delayed review) but our memories of a wonderful visit remain as fresh and positive as ever. Bill... More

My friend and I went to A Seafaring Maiden to get out of the city. We were rewarded with incredible hospitality, a beautiful home, a picturesque view and delicious food. The snow fell softly outside our window, and the smell of french toast wafted up the stairs to greet us. I felt so lucky and blessed to be able to... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at A Seafaring Maiden, our hosts Bill and Anne Marie were very warm and welcoming with just the right amount of kindness and hospitality. When arriving we were met with a nice warm fire, and offered delicious drinks out of their own special stock. The home was in fantastic shape and loaded with century-old charm,... More

I was coming into the area for only one night to meet a friend the next day and due to bad weather I was arriving later than expected. I let them know and it wasn't an issue at all. Bill greeted me when I arrived and helped me with my bags, showed me around and was overall extremely welcoming without... More

This is one of the greatest B&B that I stayed in (I am there at least 4-6 times a year). My job consist of being on the road all year long in the Maritimes and I can say that I have never experience a service like Bill & Ann Marie gives. They are one of a kind and they will... More

We were lucky to find a room at this B&B last minute! Anne Marie offered us a warm welcome and ensured we were made very comfortable. Our bed was indeed comfortable and the room was immaculate. Bill made and served a delicious breakfast in the morning and was kind enough to indulge my husband in a visit with the cat.... More
