Spent a night while playing golf at Cabot Links. Very nice people, super clean room and just far enough off the beaten path. When you go, make sure to eat at the Red Shoe Pub. It's close by with good food, a fun crowd and great music. Also, don't miss the warm cinnamon buns at the MRI continental breakfast. You... More

The staff make this place, very friendly teenagers and owner, the place is very well maintained, and the breakfast is excellent, all fresh and homemade. The set up of this motel is strange places, wonder what it was originally, the lower level rooms all have their bathrooms across the hallway. The beds were excellent. Would definitely stay here again

The Inn has a wonderful staff - cannot do enough for you. Get their cinnamon rolls. The halls to the rooms are rather uninspiring. Our room had a comfortable king bed and was a curious long skinny room. the windows opened on a nice yard and large trees. you will be very happy here

Although there isn't much to do in Mabou, we wish we had had another night in this beautiful inn. We had a 2 bedroom suite with complete kitchen. Furnished and decorated with a variety of lovely antiques. Spotlessly clean! Very comfortable bed. TV, Wi-fi free, fine continental breakfast, and a friendly host/owner! Loved our morning conversation with him. He is... More

A small group of us stayed one night here. Everyone was so warm and gracious that I felt as if I was visiting my favorite relatives. I shared a small homey suite that was very clean and comfortable with quilts on the beds and fully furnished kitchen. Good hiking trails nearby and the owner's dogs will gladly join you. Breakfast... What a great place. If you ever wanted to stay somewhere that you feel like home but do not have to do anything but enjoy yourself this is the place for you. The smell of home made bread to the pizza you can not describe. What a great time.

My wife and I stayed two night in a large king bed room on the second floor. Room was clean, comfortable, decorated well with a large bathroom. The proprietor Dave really cares for his guests and has great suggestions about what to see and do in the area, and keeps an updated listing of local entertainment. There is a large... More

There were 5 of us, we stayed in the 2 bedroom suite with pullout. Room was very nice and comfortable and clean. Breakfast was great, hand made cinnamon buns and bread! We were visiting from Ontario, just on cape breton for the night, and will definitely come back and stay here the next time we come. Thank you to everyone... More

We stayed at the Mabou River Inn on our way to the Cabot Trail. It is a wonderful change from the cookie cutter hotel rooms that we had been staying in. The rooms are tastefully decorated and the beds are comfortable. The owner provides a wonderful breakfast with fresh baked cinnamon rolls. It's a short walk to town and the... More

We stayed in the Inn for two nights. We had a delightful room, spacious and very comfortable. The breakfast was very good and the biscuits and cinnamon rolls were fabulous! The staff were friendly and helpful!! I highly recommend this Inn.
