The room was good but the staff was excellent. They extended their service to allow us a small dinner party in their dining area. They also provided advice on local attractions and events. We had trouble locating a hike due to construction. They gave us excellent advice on how to get there and the time it would take.

We were met by a friendly staff member who was very helpful in providing information on the surrounding area and the Inn itself. We chose a budget room which, are all on the top floor, share a bathroom (three rooms share) and do not have TV's. The view was great! If you do as we did and go for the... More

I wish we had that up staying somewhere else. Due to a fire in Keji we had to change our plans last minute and the Island Inn had vacancy after calling a number of other places. I understand why. The rooms were older with no air conditioning. The beds were uncomfortable. The screens in the windows were not that effective... More

While the beds were very comfortable and the inn is indeed right next to the park entrance, the accommodations were very basic. Our second floor bedroom sloped dramatically eastward, while the adjoining bath sloped westward! The shower/tub leaked water onto the floor, probably contributing to the structural issues. Breakfast was also very basic; among other packaged goods, Wonder Bread and... More

We stayed one night on the 3rd floor. We are both tall and found the loft/sloping ceiling in the bedroom and bathroom tough to deal with. We shared the bathroom with 2 other rooms. The toilet leaked and there was always water on the floor. The shower is quite small. The rooms were clean although the carpet grossed me out... More

The Inn is an average place to stay, maybe a bit pricey for what it offers; rooms are okay, but try for the one of two facing the water. Our room seemed recently renovated and painted. Nice second floor wrap-around deck outside for all to sit. Place is quiet and well located. Breakfast is very basic, budget; could have been... More

We just spent 3 days here and have mostly good things to report. We arrived earlier than check in time, but the person on duty was warm and welcoming and even apologetic! The inn is on the main road, but it was quiet at night. Our room was small, but comfortable. The queen size bed was nice and firm and... More

The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was continental and all of the breakfast options were processed options (e.g., instant oatmeal, cereal, etc) and no fresh fruit was available. Although it was nice and clean, probably wouldn’t go back.

We stayed in the loft which did not have Air Conditioning or a television although it was clean. There was a fan in the room to use to cool off the room. There was a shared bathroom in the hall for the three rooms on that level. The breakfast was a very basic help yourself affair.

We stayed for a couple of nights. The room wasclean and good sized. The breakfast basic but adequate. We enjoyed our conversations with some of the other guests on the second night (from Australia and Tenesse). Excellent location for the park area of Cape Breton. You could consider breakfast at the Keltic Lodge and would recommend the Middle Heaad trail... More
