Our large group of hockey families just spent an amazing four days at Keltic Lodge. The accommodations, dining, golfing and spa were fantastic. You could not ask for a more amazing view from all areas of this beautiful resort. We'll definitely be going back again.

The Keltic Lodge occupies one of the most beautiful sites in eastern North America. It sits atop a cliff on a peninsula that juts out into the Atlantic. There are spectacular views in every direction. However, it is very old and has not been updated to anything approaching modern standards. There was no elevator to our second floor suite. Also, the unit had no air conditioning. The fitness center was completely inadequate and the hot tub closed at 7:00 PM. As it was seasonal, the staff was part time and not terribly experienced. We do not regret spending one night there, simply because of the great beauty of the location. However, we will not return.

Yes the Keltic Lodge is historic and has pretty views. Glad we stopped and looked but not sure why this place is so popular. We did want to eat breakfast here, but after standing in line for 20 minutes with no acknowledgement by staff, we left. There are some good alternatives in town on the main street such as Main Street Restaurant and Bakery

Stayed in the main lodge for two nights last week. The rooms are just ok. Payed extra for an "ocean view room" and got a room with a small window facing the end of one bay. Not exactly what I was expecting. The bathroom was old, worn and needed updating. The buffet breakfast was ok but popular items were not replenished quickly. Wait staff was very good. We enjoyed the bar/lounge with local musicians but both nights they were short staffed with two people to wait on tables and serve drinks. There is a price to pay for staying in the Park but it was too steep in this case. Save your money and stay somewhere else.

Rooms feel a bit neglected and needs a major refurb. We went to the pool the changing area was shocking and needs proper male and female changing with showers. the pool was refreshing and cool. The spa was superb a bit expensive but a nice treat for the driver. Meals were mixed we went to the informal ardluie which was a bit heavy on the oil/butter. we also went to the purple thistle for breakfast which is not included. That was extensive and worth the extra. Keltic lodge is big luckily not as noisy as we thought it would be but needs modernising.
