After COVID scuppered our plans for a long fall trip to California, we instead decided to spend 2 weeks in our home province and visit Cape Breton for an extended period. We have stayed in some awesome places over the last fortnight, but this one takes the top spot as our favourite. And we only checked in two hours ago! I am writing this from the adirondacks on our cottage deck (Raasey, 2 bedrooms) literally feet from the pounding waters of the Atlantic with views of rocky headlands in either direction and Ingonish island and the wide open ocean in front. It’s windy and wild and beyond perfect, and I can’t wait to sleep tonight with the sound of the crashing waves filling my dreams 😊 The cottages themselves are small, cosy, quite basic but utterly charming - it feels like a real rustic retreat. They are also SPOTLESSLY clean, and thoughtfully appointed with everything you need to stay here whether that’s a night, a week, or longer. Our welcome was warm and all the info you may need is in a binder in the cottage. And there is primo wifi! Not essential but a huge bonus that we weren’t expecting! If you are looking for glamour or luxury then this might not suit, but if you want a cosy, ocean-front escape this place is hard to beat. The highest recommendation.…
We decided to visit the Cabot Trail this year and booked a night at the Point Cottages, was so pleased with the cottage and the proximity to the beach. The cottage was very clean and cozy and everything you need for your stay. We definitely stay there again and would recommend.
The spacious and clean cottage was a wonderful fit for our girls weekend. I wish we could have stayed longer. The cottages are equipped with everything you need to feel at home. We enjoyed our lobster with the beautiful ocean views. Sitting on the deck drinking our morning coffee was heaven. Stunning views all around, it was a great spot for us to enjoy the beach. The beds were comfortable and the rooms spacious !! I didn't want to leave
We had a 2 bedroom between four friends. We were so very impressed with the views and the location of the cottages with the beach nearby. We cannot wait to visit again. We bought some firewood from a local store and enjoyed a bonfire on the beach at night. Cottages provide all the necessities!
We stayed for 3 lovely nights in the Lochiel #43 cottage in late September 2019. Clean, quiet and well stocked with dishes and cutlery. The cottages are well situated and Linda made us feel welcome and comfortable. Highly recommended !
