When my wife and I checked into the Iona Cottage on this beautiful oceanfront property, we got just what we expected times ten!!! Awesome service by Linda the owner, fantastic views, easy beachfront access, local seafood to bring back to the cottage (Rod's Lobsters) and cleanliness that made me feel guilty being in the room!!! This location is even better... More

I stayed with my mom and dad in the cutest 2-bedrooms seafront cottage. At night, the waves crashing on the shore were very soothing. The silence in the area was surprising. The neighbors were friendly, yet discreet. The cottage itself was immaculate and the lady in charge was very accommodating. This place is very deserving of a 5 stars rating.

We booked a cabin here to stay near some friends that vacation here every summer. Lovely location right on the water directly across from the Keltic Lodge. They have parking and a small sand beach on the property. The cabin was very clean.

We stayed here for three days and wish we could have stayed a month. Linda, the manager, was the best host you could hope for. The cottage was spotless, very nicely renovated and had everything that we needed. We watched the lobster boats coming and going from the nearby docks and walked over to buy fresh lobster for our dinner.... More

Chose this cottage for a 3-night stay as accommodation to see the Cabot Trail, last week of June 2016, based on Trip Advisor reviews and it surely did not dissapoint. We came from Halifax and it was a good 6hour drive excluding stops, with stops at Baddeck and Wreck Cove, we were running late to make it by 4pm. But... More

Quaint cottages by the sea. Our cottage was simple and had everything that was needed for our stay of two nights. Situated in beautiful Ingonish, the cottages are a quick walk to a local restaurant, the beach and the wharf. The locals are friendly and we enjoyed just sitting by the Atlantic taking it all in. The bed was a... More

The previous reviews were correct --pictures were accurate. In fact, in person, it was even better!! Clean, and the location was convenient to the main road and to trail hikes and restaurants. Tips: Went in 2nd week of June and the weather was foggy, rainy, windy, and cold. We do not recommend going off-season since views, hikes, and hours of... More

This was by far our best cottage stay we had in Cape Breton. We stayed in the Iona cottage, with two bedrooms. This cottage was newly renovated so the photos on their website (as of today) did not reflect the new cottage which is significantly nicer and cozier. The rooms were bright with generous amount of space. Bedroom #1 was... More

The cabin we stayed in was cozy but comfortable. The sea side location and views are amazing. The owners very accommodating and hospitable. A good home base to explore the Cabot Trail. There were two drawbacks: 1. the stove as it could not heat water to the boil of boiling which made it difficult to make any kind of pasta... More

We have visited Cape Breton 2 times and stayed at the Point Cottages on both occasions. The MacLeod family has been offering shelter to travelers since the Great Depression. The cabins are well outfitted; the roaring ocean is at your doorstep. Heaven !
