We stayed here for the entire week of the Celtic Coliurs festival last October because it is minutes from Gaelic College, where a lot of the best music is hosted. The owners were hospitable at first but then they changed their colours at the end. We cooked outside throughout our stay but used our single burner stove to cook up... More

We arrived here just in time for a sunset view. It's a amazing view out over the water from the hotel room. We were a party of four with two rooms and stayed for two nights. We decided on St Ann's for the location and the reviews we saw and were pleased with our decision. The rooms were a good... More

This motel is perfectly situated, and offers amazing views. It is clean and very well maintained with obvious pride of ownership. The owners are friendly and always available should you need anything. We stayed here prior to catching the ferry to Newfoundland and then again on our return trip. We will definitely stay here again should our travels bring us... More

Fairly basic motel with all you need, ideally situated on the start of the Cabot trail. The view from the full length window is one which you will not forget

We arrived in Baddeck late at night after driving from Halifax. As we pulled into the St. Ann's Motel, I kept thinking - "I thought this was near the water." It was so funny when I woke up the next morning and pulled back the curtain to find we were just ten feet from the water. Needless to say, it... More

This feels like a nice motel in 1957. Clean, well-maintained, and right on the water, with a picture window in our room looking out on the bay. Friendly owners. But it's not the Ritz. Our room had two single beds with only one pillow each. Internet very slow at about 2 Mbps. No free breakfast. But it was quiet, a... More

We drove for hours from Halifax and the storm grew worse. We arrived in torrential rains and the owners still had our room for us. It was wonderful to have a place to go in pouring rain that was clean and quiet with lovely hosts who stayed up for us. In the morning the gorgeous view we had anticipated. Wish... More

I found St Ann's Motel through Trip Advisor. It was a great place to stop at the end of a long day driving the Cabot Trail. Very friendly host, fantastic view from our room right by the waters edge! Nice extra touch....real wine glasses! Convenient restaurant next door, but beware, it closes at 8 p.m. and doesn't open for breakfast....no... More

The site of this motel is so dramatic it should be a destination. The host is very friendly and informative. The room has a big picture window in the back with a view of St. Ann’s Harbour, which extends for miles. The room was fine, and had everything I needed except a microwave and a phone (very commonly absent in... More

We stayed 3 nights, and this was an excellent location from which to explore Cape Breton Island. We travelled with 2 kids, age 11 and 12, and there was plenty of room. There was no air conditioning, but the ceiling fans helped. The owner, Doug, was very gracious, and helpful. There was a full fridge in the housekeeping suite, and... More
