The Inn is located right on the water in Baddeck and is a great starting point for the Cabot Trail. The rooms were comfortable, our host was most informative on things to do and see, and an ample breakfast was served. The sunrise views were spectacular each day! A nice addition is the attached art gallery that showcases local artists.

This inn was a WONDERFUL surprise to us!! We typically stay in major hotels (mainly due to getting free rooms with hotel points) but wanted to stop along our vacation route to break up our trip time in the car. Booked the Water's Edge never knowing what a gem we were getting!! We had a big balcony overlooking the lake--view... More

Location is excellent; rooms are spacious, well appointed and comfortable beds. Staff are friendly, accommodating and competent. Owner is onsite most of the time and very helpful. Gary the resident artist is willing to share stories and pour coffee. Excellent place to stay. Rooms are on the 2nd floor and waterfront rooms have balconies. Parking is gravel so luggage has... We stayed in room 2. Lovely balcony, which we did not get to enjoy due to the weather. However, the view was still gorgeous. Both the room and the bathroom were a good size. The breakfast was limited which was expected. Wifi was not good. Would absolutely stay here again.

We stayed three nights in the studio on the third floor. We selected this room as it was the only one available for the three nights we needed, even though we booked this many months ago. It was expensive. It did have full kitchen. Shower, and sofa, but not so comfortable. The place seemed a bit tired and musty smelling.... More

We had the opportunity to stay for 2 nights in Baddeck at Water's Edge. Jeff and Anne have a great location for ending or starting the Cabot Trail. We had the pleasure of staying in 2 different rooms as we could not coordinate the same room for 2 nights. ThIs worked to our advantage as we got to experience 2... More

Spent 3 nights here in room 4. Nice large room with balcony and awesome view over the lake. Room was very bright and had windows that open ( with screens). Room has A/C. Nice comfortable bed, lots of closet space. Sofa and arm chair with coffee table. Bath room was average size with tub/shower. Lots of hot water and good... More

Really enjoyed my one night here. Great location: across the street from the pier, withing walking distance of Alexander Graham Bell National Historic Site, one block to the main street. Room was large and comfortable, staff were friendly, the gift shop/art gallery were really interesting, and eating breakfast amongst the art was fun.

It is a little hard to find; perhaps there are restrictive local sign ordinances. We had a room with a water view which was very nice. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the bed linen. The proprietor was kind enough to let me in a bit early for breakfast so that I didn't have to take various medications... More

My wife and I found the previous glowing reviews surprising. We had a nice stay, but didn't think the place was anything to be excited about. The welcome upon check-in wasn't that homey B and B feeling you sometimes get. Just a key handover. The room was large and clean, but nothing special. The breakfast was heavy on the carbs,... More
