The location is a short drive outside of Baddeck. It is a great location to explore various sites of Cape Breton. Chalets are spacious with bedroom, bath and living room with a kitchen. The rooms have a small deck in front with a gas grill if you wanted to grill a meal. It is quiet and comfortable and would be... More

We enjoyed our stay. The owner came to the room and explained to us how everything worked. They have German beds which we like. Each person has their own bed and comfortor. Even though it looked like a king bed, there was no fighting over the covers!

Upon our arrival, we were met by Roland, a very friendly owner. He escorted us to our cottage. a nice patio with outside furniture and a view of mountains. Inside were two bedrooms, spacious comfortable and very clean. A well-equipped kitchen, again very clean with everything we could possibly need or want... this was our second night staying in Cape-Breton... More

We chose this place so that we could bring our dog. Our room was not very modern, but it was clean and comfortable. We only stayed here for a night, so I can't really comment on the grounds. Roland was welcoming and informative. The location was easy to find - just off the Cabot Trail about 10 minutes from Baddeck.

We booked this property based strictly on its location and pet policy, and were more than delighted when we arrived. There is a lot of open land here, with easy hikes right from your door, but it might be hard to make yourself want to go outside. Our unit was huge, bright and cheery, with an equipped kitchen area and... More

We built our holiday around staying here and the suite was perfect. Owners are very friendly. The place is spotless and has all the amenities we need to be comfortable. Location is gorgeous right on the Cabot Trail and just outside Baddeck. We will definitely come back to explore more of Cape Breton.

This was one of the best places to stay on the Cabot Trail. Roland was ever the host and the area was beautiful. Places were clean and cozy. Quiet and private, the grounds were beautifully maintained and lively to sit on the porch and view. Price definitely with the stay

Hunter's Mountain Chalet was an ideal location for our three nights on Cape Breton (oh if only it could have been longer!). It's strategically placed where one can go east or west on the Cabot Trail and explore both sides of the island. The accommodations were very welcome after some time on the road - loved having a kitchen and... More

Easy to find, good view of the meadow and (distantly) the Bras d'Or. Kitchen is a tad spartan. Rooms and windows use a European system (the king sized bed is really two adjoined twin beds, windows open by tiling in, etc.). Good base camp for Cape Breton. Roland is a jovial gem, a genuine host.

Spent a night in one of host Roland's cabins. The spot is very tranquil about 10 mins out of Baddeck at the start of the Cabot Trail. The cabins are on a slight hill with good views of the property's dam and the Baddeck River. Roland offered a very friendly welcome and we found the cabin to be basic but... More
