Don't let the exterior or the decor deter you; the food and service is great! I had the crab cakes: fresh, delicious and beautifully plated. Friend had cranberry chicken and loved it. Our server was delightful, knowledgeable and engaging. Glad we took the chance.

I stayed two nights in the main house 2nd floor, twin room . The room was small but clean and comfortable. It's great for a single person and good value for Baddeck town. I would stay in this room again when I visit Baddeck.

We stayed here twice. The first room was in the motel section; we had a fridge, microwave, and coffee/tea setup. The second time, we were offered an upgrade for a bigger room. That rate was about $40 CAD more than our motel room. It was in the original inn and therefore full of charm...but empty of fridge, microwave, or even... More

Stopped in on a whim and found this little gem. The service was great, very friendly. The decor was charming and quaint. The food was AMAZING! If you are in the neighborhood, do yourself a favor and dine here. The buildings story is also pretty amazing. You will be considered family very easily.

This motel was a big disappointment. We stayed in the motel portion and for the price it was very poor value. All I can say is that it was clean and quiet. The chrome chair as "seating"? A wing chair that had holes in it.? 1 queen size bed is all this room should have had. The TV was a... More

The service when we arrived was excellent. I needed a room with easy access, so they put us in the motel part of the establishment. Although the room was nice and spacious, there were a few issues. First, it was HOT HOT HOT that night and there was no AC and I had to use the ice holder to hold... More

I found the hotel to be adequate at best. Not a bed and breakfast so a bit on the pricey side. Not even coffee in the room or lobby. In need of updating as carpet is stained, on the shabby side all around. The man on duty was helpful and personable however and it is ideally located within the town.

The service is wonderful, the rooms cozy and homey, as well as being spotlessly clean, the food is gourmet and the front parlour is a delight to sit in and read late into the evening. It feels like a favourite family summer home - lively without being intrusive. Baddeck is a wonderful town with the Alexander Graham Bell Museum as... More

We had a booking at Hawkesbury and realized that was not what we signed up for. It was already 10pm and we had to make a last minute change to drive to Baddeck and needed an accomoation. We called a B & B place and were given the number of Telegraph House and glad we called Sean. He was kind... More

I had booked this hotel through a discounted website. Got to the hotel and was given the room to the left of the porch. We got what I paid for I guess, though pricey for what was provided. The room is all lavender lace with a lavender bathroom and small TV. Curtains are lace too. This room does not have... More
