We just stayed for one night but it was very nice, centrally located and had a nice big covered veranda to sit on and enjoy the thunderstorm. The room decor was a little too grandma-ish for me personally but it did not offend.

Stayed at the Telegraph House while touring the Cabot Trail. Would Definetly stay here again, decoration of cabin was incredible. Baddeck is nice little place with lots of restaurants around. Beautiful main lodge and beautiful view!

I arrived in a heat wave so it was disappointing that they did not have an air conditioned room. The room I was told had been recently redecorated and that was fine although a full length mirror would be helpful. The building is historic and has charming common rooms and a lovely outdoor verandah serving dinner only. The availability of... More

Our stay was just one night and we found the room very clean and the bed to be comfy. The corridors could use an update and there were lots of stairs to climb which wasn't easy with our suitcases. The hotel is centrally located and within walking distance of everything. It is a quaint hotel and I would recommend staying... More

In the heart of Baddeck, so close to everything in this 'every afternoon feels like a Sunday afternoon' little town. We were in one of the cabins at the rear of the property. Our room was small but efficient and clean. Only complaint was the tv cable which worked early in the evening but deteriorated as other guests turned on... More

We specifically tried to book in the main house attempting to avoid a roadside motel type room but ended up in the back motel part of the property. We were told we were the second people to have that happen that day but were unwilling to offer us any type of restitution for our situation. The rooms are tiny and... More

Two of us shared a bedroom cottage that was superb. Kitchen, living room and 2 bedrooms. The mattress was just the right firmness. And the location in the middle of the main street was just the ticket. Staff was customer oriented and very friendly. A place to rest before doing the Cabot Trail.

While the location is great, right downtown, that means it can be a little loud. There are motel rooms on site and the patrons there can be a little loud if you aren't lucky. The room we stayed in was a little smaller and stuffy - only one window opened. There was an overhead fan and no A/C. The staff... More

I love clean places. We stayed in what they called the "cottage," which had two rooms, each with its own bathroom, and a little kitchen/sitting area. Some might have found the decor a bit dated, but I loved it. It did feel like a cottage. $200 a night, quite reasonable. The original building had a lovely porch, sitting room and... More

This hotel is in a great location and the grounds and building are nice enough. The service from the staff was great. However, a word of advice: do not book late (as I did) and be stuck with room 35. Dated decor and located right off the main entrance. Loud and bright (they should at least install some room-darkening blinds... More
