We stayed for one night and had dinner. The room was clean and comfortable with everything you need. The balcony was lovely to sit and have coffee before a busy day on the Cabot Trail. The food in the restaurant was nice but not remarkable. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Baddeck, like most of Halifax, for that matter, starts buttoning down around eight, so we went to the Lynwood restaurant practically in an emergency. Stodgy to say the least. Everywhere in N.S. the menus are pretty much the same. Greeks would be appalled by how they like to heavily batter and bread an innocent fresh fish. Marylanders, for example, would... More

Reservation booked thru Booking.com. Check-in is quick and easy. Hotel is a couple of kilometres from the highway exit. Staff very friendly and helpful. Very clean property from entrance, lobby, bathroom, restaurant and guest rooms. Guest rooms bright and well decorated. Some rooms have small balconies at an extra charge. Comfortable beds and had a great night sleep. Thoroughly enjoyed... More

We stayed here as our first stop on the Cabot Trail. The rooms are a little dated, but obviously well cared for, and they have everything that you need. They let us keep our car parked there for the week while we biked around the trail, and allowed us to get our luggage dropped off there on the final day,... More

On a warm summer’s night dinner on the porch is very enjoyable with plenty of people watching and enjoyable Baddeck view. This, like the other Baddeck restaurants is casual, the service was OK and the food was tasty. The guitar soloist added a pleasant touch to our experience. Good place to eat...not dine.

We had been tent camping but the rainy/foggy weather on this particular night was more than we wanted to deal with after a long day on the Cape Breton drive. We stopped at the information kiosk across from the Lynwood and ended up getting a room there. The practice there is to quote a fee for 2 people and then... More

We had booked with another hotel in Baddeck which was a huge mistake. The room was terrible and my wife and I decided to look elsewhere. The town is nearly sold out of rooms and Cathy at Lynwood Inn saved us. We are so glad she did. Our room was spotless. The staff is incredibly friendly. It has air conditioning... More

Old hotel in a great location. You can walk the entire town from here. Rooms are old fashioned, but everything worked like it is supposed too. Please note there is no elevator. Our room was on the third floor and we had to do a lot of stairs. So if you have a problem with stairs be sure to request... More

We booked Room 2 in the actual hotel. It had a sitting room outside our door and our room was large with a small sitting area. I think the room was a good value. It was spotless and I enjoyed the artwork. I did feel that there was too many old items on display and worried I might break something.... More

The old Victorian building is lovely, but most of the suites are in a modern building next door with a little less charm. Air conditioning a bit loud as it turns on and off during the night. The restaurant has ok food, but a lovely deck and fun live music. Bathrooms had jet tubs! Good location.
