We kicked off our Cabot Trail bike trip by staying at Inverary Resort. The rooms were nice and the staff were friendly. We were surprised at how big the entire property was - it was a pleasant surprise. The only thing our room was missing was a small fridge to keep our food cold - but on the whole -... More

We visited this hotel mid-August, we rented a cottage with a kitchen. We paid extra to have a BBQ. While the location was great, the cottage we were in really needed to be updated. The carpets were very dirty, the kitchen not well equipped (we paid for BBQ, but had no BBQ utensil and the lighter for the BBQ didn't... More

Actually poor phone reception all over Cape Breton. But Wifi almost none at the resort. Washrooms old fashioned. Bring your own conditioners. AC almost non functioning. Rooms spacious. Cottage very spacious. Location very close to Baddeck. But getting to either side of Cape Breton Highland Park from the beginning of Cabot Trail will take 2 hours. So if you watch... More

Normally accustomed to big chain hotels, we were a little nervous. However, the Inverary Resort was great! Loved the pub and live music! Lovely gardens. Ps. Pack your old Lion King VHS, there's a VCR in the room :)

We were at the Inverary Resort for a wedding. The venue was great and the grounds were very nice. The hotel staff were able to accommodate the event and made it look easy. Would recommend as a location for a wedding. However, we were in one of the "Cabins". These cabins have two units. An upstairs and a downstairs. Cannot... More

Seemingly recently refurbished, a great spot for a multi-generational stay for a family aged 1 to 72, from Alberta and Brooklyn, NY. Loved the Main Street and Ameobia Sail Boat tour of Bras D'Or lake. Excellent lunches at Higwheeler Cafe and tom's Pizza, both on the Main Street.

We stayed two nights, beautiful location but rooms were dated and a/c unit is loud. We didn't sleep well. The manager was helpful when we told them and gave us 20 percent off. The bar had live music and pub foods and we enjoyed the music, it was a local artist.

This place is fine for a centrally located night or two when visiting Cape Breton, but is expensive for what it is. Our family of three stayed in a cabin suite, which is a self contained unit with a bedroom and living room with a pullout couch and kitchenette. Our first impression was the overwhelming smell of cleaning product used-... More

We chose a Deluxe King as only staying for one night and didn't think an extra 100$ for the King Suite for one night would be worth it. We had quite high expectations for this resort, but from the second we arrived we were told that the Internet wasn't available and we couldn't eat in the restaurant because they had... More

The hotel personnel were young and while very nice, lacked the knowledge of the resort. Steered us to the wrong building and as we ran around trying to find out room, finally flagged down a staff person and we had been sent to the wrong building. The room was very sweet, but the rug was worn and the arm chairs,... More
