We stayed in the Campbell house for two nights during a recent trip to Newfoundland. The room was quaint and charming, bed was comfortable, the hotel is very well run we found the people very friendly and helpful. Ate at the Twine Loft restaurant, its a set meal with two choices for a main, a little expensive but great food.... More

My sister and I had the pleasure of staying in the Campbell House for 2 nights on our trip through Newfoundland. It was unfortunate that we were there right before the tourist season began (end of April, beginning of May) so everything was still closed for the season, but that did not take away from the quaint, beautiful town and... This review is long overdue, but better late than never! We stayed at one of the Artisan Inn properties, Campbell House, because we needed to accommodate our family of 3 in one room, at an affordable price. We had a double bed and at the other end of the room was a twin sized bed set against the window, for... More

My 25 year old daughter and I shared a room in the Campbell House. it was wonderful. I slept soundly all four nights in my big four poster bed and my daughter loved her window bed - snuggled right down in there. We met another mother/daughter traveling team who stayed one night while we were there and that was a... More

We stayed at the Lighthouse view and found it very quiet and the room contained a large bathroom.Breakfast Included freshly baked muffins and dinners were healthy and very tasty. Drinks on the deck at happy hour were idyllic. But Tineke Gow excelled at suggesting tourist activities, ie.theatre, Sherwink trail, Gun trail above the bank, town historical walks, boat tours, and... More

We stayed in the Campbell House - very nice. The staff at the Artisan Inn are absolutely the best. They are very informative and helpful. We had to re-plan our trip on the fly after our flight got messed up and they assisted us in getting accommodations, made phone calls for us and were just extremely helpful - that was... More

We stayed 2 nights in the Campbell House, one of several houses that comprise the Artisan Inn and Twine Loft Restaurant. Tineke Gow has made the historic and modern come together. Our house lodging, both the room and common areas were beautifully decorated but functional. We reserved for dinner at the late sitting and enjoyed fresh locally sourced 3 course... More

We recently stayed at the Artisan Inn, specifically Campbell House. Overall, Tineke and Marika have done a superb job. There is attention to detail that is respectful to the environment, the history of the town and the experience of the traveller. It was a true highlight of our 2.5 week trip through Newfoundland and we will absolutely make plans to... More

This inn, run by the Gows just gets better every time we stay. Room in historic house is clean, quiet, and quaint. Breakfast is pretty standard, but be sure to eat dinner there, the menu is excellent with a fine wine selection. There is much to do in the area Theater, boat tours, hiking the Skerwink trail, visiting museums that... More

Do your research on which building and room you want to stay and book early. I stayed in the Campbell house which was built in 1840. What I enjoyed most about it was the first floor was entirely common area and was decorated with antiques and period furniture. There was a dining table with seating for 4. There was coffee... More
