We were lucky enough to stay at this property in 2019 August (Room: Newfoundland 2). I've always meant to write a review but never found the time - think of what it says about it if I actually came back and did it! Trinity is a beautiful little town and the host of this B&B is a wonderful ambassador for her town and province. The accommodations were spotless and charming; the food was plentiful and delicious and the advice on what to do and see was spot on. I am gluten free and Alma (the hostess), was more than accommodating. I would not hesitate to tell anyone to book here, and do it early so that you can stay a few days! We were sad to have to leave after a couple of nights. If you are in the area, think about hiking the Skerwink Trail and stop off at the Port Rexton Brewery afterwards for a cold pint and a sandwich from Oh My Cheeses.

I booked this B&B on a whim the day before arriving to Trinity and I'm very glad I did. It was the most hospitable and enjoyable stay throughout my 8 days in Newfoundland & Labrador. The host was a delightfully friendly local who was a true ambassador for Trinity and provided me with some great recommendations for things to do & see in the area. The room was clean & well-decorated and the breakfast was a perfect way to begin a new day. If you're only in town for one day I highly recommend doing what I did: stay the night at this B&B, get some fish & chips from the Dock Marina and catch a show at Rising Tide Theatre. You won't be disappointed.

We stayed for three wonderful nights in Trinity in late Sept, and were really glad we chose to stay at the Compass B & B. Alma was the perfect hostess! Alma made us feel welcome and at home. We enjoyed sitting around the dining table in the morning visiting with Alma and the other guest as she prepared our breakfast. Our room was very clean and comfortable, as were the public spaces which were also available for guest to use. You can easily walk everywhere in Trinity. We would definitely stay again if we return to Trinity.

The room and the common areas were clean, comfortable, and nicely decorated( not too fussy). There was easy parking, super views of town and the bay. The bathroom was spacious. Alma the host was a treat full of local knowledge made you feel right at home, and makes a great breakfast. A good choice for exploring the area.

My wife and I stayed 3 wonderful nights in Trinity in late August, and we were really glad we chose to stay at the Compass B & B. Alma was the perfect hostess, looking out for us and supplying a warm, friendly environment. We loved our spacious Africans room and going downstairs in the evening for the comfortable living room and convenient kitchen which was at our convenience whenever we wanted. Since we stayed three nights, we were given free use of the washing machine and dryer. This was greatly appreciated. The highlight was the breakfast, however. We enjoyed sitting around the dining table in the morning visiting with Alma and the other guest as she doled out a sumptuous feast. It has fruit, cereal, yummy toast, jams, a hot dish, etc. We felt we put on a few pounds and would have to do extra hikes to work it off. The location is perfect. You can easily walk everywhere in Trinity. This made an excellent base. We were glad that we stayed here instead of Bonavista as this seemed to have more character. We wholeheartedly recommend Alma and the Compass B & B!
