We had had some small rooms on our tour of Newfoundland and Labrador, so this was a welcome change. The country-style furniture might not look modern, but it was cozy and tasteful. Everything was spotless. We liked the tile and carpet combination on the floor for comfort and cleanliness. Again, the sink area was separate from the rest of the bathroom, and we find that a litle unusual, but it would be very handy with kids. Our room down a verrrry long hallway included a mini-fridge, microwave, two lounging chairs, two desks and comfortable beds. The wine glasses were a nice touch. There was also an ice machine in the hotel. The hotel itself was quiet except for the noisy water pipes. We found it hard to fine tune the heat and fan settings - there must have been a trick to it. The Wi-fi service was pretty sketchy, which seemed a common problem for the area. We reallly liked the open closet and the full width vanity. Breakfast choices included the Newfie Breakfast or the partridgeberry pancakes with sausage. Our tour included supper which consisted of seafood linguini - to die for.…

Very friendly staff and a nice hotel. The mattress I had could use an update (could feel every spring) and the pillows were hard as rocks. Definitely a little dated and expensive but good for stopping to catch some zzzz's....definitely better than sleeping in the truck!!

We were there in June. The room (king-size and on the 2nd floor without an elevator) was large and roomy. There were two issues with it. 1. The heat (which is needed in Labrador even in June) when turned on was very noisy and could not be used. They brought us a portable heater instead, which worked well. 2. Underneath our window behind the building there was a generator which created fumes. We were not originally aware of this and had kept the window open to get fresh air.

The hotel itself is very dated and our room was not very clean. The stains on the carpet were atrocious and there were crumbs on the floor. When we informed the front desk staff they were quite rude and told us they can ensure the room was cleaned and we could go ahead and stay somewhere else if we wanted. A short while later the front desk staff called up to our room and offered to move us to a suite for the same price. The suite was nicer and cleaner but still very dated and the bed was very hard. The food at the restaurant and the proximity to the ferry are the only good things about this hotel. Definitely not worth the price and won't stay here again.

We are sorry to hear that you were not pleased with your stay. We take great pride in the cleanliness of our establishment, and often receive compliments to this effect. If it was not clean, there must have been an error at the front desk in assigning the room, as again, we work hard to ensure that every room is clean and sanitized. We do apologize if our staff did not initially respond to your situation in an appropriate manner - this should never happen, as customer service is another of our top priorities. We take this very seriously, as our guests are the reason we exist. We thank you for bringing this to our attention and do wish you the very best in your future travels.

The face to face service was excellent. Lady at front desk was very nice and helpful. Although the lack of communication wasn't the best. No notification letting us know that the kitchen and complimentary continental breakfast isn't a option anymore. The kitchen to not open until 11am. And still the same price overpriced rate. We as a family choose this hotel for the quick serve-yourself options with kids and to be able to make a early boat. Very disappointing this time. We know covid plays a part and just the knowledge of that service being gone would of helped me prepare for 3 small hungry kids at 6am. And. Needs new beds..

Thank you for taking the time to let us know of your experience. As you are well aware, Covid restrictions and outbreaks shut a lot of things down, which was beyond our control. We worked hard to continue offering food to our guests during these challenging times. That, combined with limited staff, meant that we were only able to offer take-out service during select times. In the absence of serving breakfast, there were notifications in each room, outlining a food option (opening at 6 am) located just across the street. Just a few months into the pandemic, we, like everyone else, were trying our best. We apologize that this made things difficult for you. Thankfully, things are slowly getting back to normal. Wishing you and your family safe travels and all the best.

I typically have low expectations for independent northern hotels. This one set the standard. Walked into the room to the smell of mould. Carpets extremelydirty and should be removed. Room was nice size. Staff friendly but the smell is overwhelming.

To begin, we would like to apologize that your stay was during a time when we were changing out some pipes under the building. This summer, we are doing renovations which also involves plumbing refits. This was the smell that you encountered and is no longer present. It is important for us to note that it was definitely NOT mould. Again, we are sorry that your stay was not how it should have been. Take care and safe travels.

We stayed in a private cabin across the street from the motel. The compact cabin had everything that we needed for our one night stay (2 bedrooms, bathroom, kitchenette, sitting room). Convenience store and Tim Hortons were nearby. Favourite stop for bus tours and drivers starting or finishing their drive across Labrador. Satellite phones are available here. Small gift shop and restaurant on site. The cabin isn't soundproof but we were not bothered by any noisy neighbours.

We stayed here enroute to the Labrador-Newfoundland ferry. The inn's location had little other to recommend it, the room was small and not very comfortable, and the food was barely adequate. They could do better.

We are a bit surprised by your comment and apologize that your experience was not the norm. Our rooms certainly reflect the standard size of most hotel rooms, with some being on the larger size! With hundreds of people staying at our hotel each week during peak season, we regularly receive compliments about the comfort and cleanliness of our rooms. Likewise, our meals are normally well received by tourists and locals alike. We can promise that we go to great lengths to provide each guest a quality experience in all aspects of our service. We wish you the very best in your future travels.

Only had one night in Labrador [to tour as far as Red Bay]. The Inn was likely the best in the area. It was a bit different but fine. Toiletries and coffee/tea services were like any prior hotel in the province. Its restaurant had a varied selection with good seafood though another chap was just so so about his mussels. None of the four possible wifi connections worked, a bit disappointing. A lobby computer was connected so could get an email home. The tile on part of the room floor was unusual, compounding the fact the hotel had a cool temperature. The phone showed a message but it was a short in the system. Got a bit of exercise out of it. The hallways have little cushion, walking being a loud experience if you do not purposefully tread lightly. Staff were pleasant. The place overall did the job.…

Thank you for taking the time to review your experience with us. We are pleased to know that you had a pleasant stay! It's great that you were able to avail of the services offered, including the lobby computer. As you may understand, the wifi strength is a bit beyond our control as it reflects the limited bandwidth available to the region as a whole. Thank you for staying with us and we hope to have the privilege of serving you again in the future.
