This is a Bed & Breakfast. The rooms are small, but very comfortable. The bathrooms are even smaller and out-of-date, but very functionable. The hosts are very nice. The breakfast is wonderful. You are right on the water with a wonderful view and very close to the Roosevelt summer home. It is peaceful and relaxing, but don't look for a... More

First of all, this is a historic inn, meaning old. It belonged to Captain Owen who settled this island. The grounds are beautiful and the view from the bluff is lovely, especially at sunset. The porch and downstairs rooms are comfortable and provide plenty of space for getting together with others. The breakfast is set up in the dining room at... More

Our experience at the Owen House was truly wonderful. The house is beautifully decorated. The setting is gorgeous with a clear view of the sea. The staff is friendly and supportive. And the owner went out of her way to help us get a damaged tire on our car fixed. In fact, we followed her as she led us to... More

We spent last Saturday evening at the Inn. Beautiful location, very comfortable, clean and a great welcome. One major issue ... having to report for breakfast at 8h30am. We were on a weekend holiday and look, as many do, for flexibility, a change from schedules, etc ... May I humbly suggest a time, from 7 am to 9am for breakfast.... More

We wanted to visit the Campobello Roosevelt International Park and Owen House was a convenient location. Julie gave us a friendly welcome and tour of the historic house. Be sure to bring a hairdryer and don't expect a TV in your room. And the wallpapers were a bit dated in room 4. But the owners' sun porch is a delightful... More

The inn was historic and nice, but hard to find in the dark. We were scolded for arriving at 10:30 p.m., and the owner brought up our lateness again the next morning as though it were a real scandal. Inside the bathroom was a note saying to watch your water usage, or else there might not be breakfast in the... More

Don't expect to be fawned over but do expect gorgeous water views, antique furniture, immaculately clean rooms, a lovely breakfast and interesting fellow travelers. Some people on here report that they felt unwelcome. Maybe the owner doesn't smile a lot, but she met every one of our requests promptly. I asked for ice and received an ice bucket and four... More

Best place to stay with whole inn a great group of people/runners. We became friends by meeting in all the comfy spaces inside and outside the inn. Homey, quaint, and very old inn with neat decor. Creaky slanty floors give character. Blueberry pancakes are superb. Really accommodating staff .

We very much enjoyed staying at the Owen House on Campobello Island. The setting is lovely and the house very interesting. The staff was very helpful about information and history of the Island. The breakfast was very good and we felt at home.

Wonderful old house, well maintained, decorated and comfortable. It is efficiently and effectively run, and everything neatly in it's place. However, other than the people serving breakfast, the people running it don't like to smile. Upon arrival, one is checked in as a customer, not welcomed as a guest. Checkout was no different. I was never asked "How was your... More
