We went for a day trip to Camp Morton. The yurts and campsite is beautiful but a day trip might not fulfill the expectations as its comparatively a smaller park there is not too much activity for a day trip except to enjoy a good time on beach..

BIg campsite. Beautiful view of Lake Winnipeg. Enjoyed our stay. Would like to try out a Yurt on our next visit. Staff are flexible in arranging the best campsite. Fees, parking and other rules need to be better organized and better explained to guests; it was confusing.

My husband and I stayed in one of the yurts at Camp Morton. We stayed during the week (M-W).; It was so paceful (earily peaceful). There isn't a lot to do, but as a couple we were happy to enjoy a quiet walk down the beach and sit on the rocks in the sun enjoying the waves of the lake....

We stayed in a cabin as a family of four. Great for those of us who don't want to tent! Walking distance to the lake. Playground close by. Not a lot of attractions here other than the lake, but Gimli is a short drive away. Very affordable accommodations. Nice to have your own bathroom (minus a shower). My husband and...

We return here annually and find the park to be family friendly, quiet and peaceful. The cabins feel quite private, one bedroom ones are back to back duplexes and two bedrooms stand alone with bush in between neighbors. They have all you need (except showers) inside, you need to bring your own pots and pans, dishes, food, towels and bedding....

We stayed in cabin 8A. It faced the roads leading to other cabins, but they are so spaced apart you really felt private. The cabin was a great size for a family of four or slightly more. Bed was a little hard but if you can't sleep on that bring a foam for on top. Apartment size fridge, stove and...

Love this place the yurt is right beside the lake and sounds beautiful at night, very private and relaxing. Great for a quick get away! the only problem with yurts is that they are very difficult to book , i lucked out and someone cancelled theirs for the weekend. So you should always check the reservations calendar!

We have been reserving yurts once a year for a few years now. We love the experience. The yurt has a bunk bed, double on the bottom, single on the top. Table with 2 chairs. The futon fold out into another double bed. They also have a fan and a heater. There is no air conditioning. They are right on...

Camp Morton is just a few miles outside of Gimli and offers Yurts and Cabins. We chose the cabin as it had an indoor washroom and we were glad we did. Victoria Day weekend is historically hard to tell what the weather will be like. We had great weather Friday & rain Saturday with snow on Sunday. Cabins are about...

Our family of three stayed in yurt #1 from Monday to Wednesday this week. I was very surprised at how large the yurt was, also how clean it was inside! There was a deck large enough for three to sit on, large fire pit area with a grill on the pit, two picnic tables all outside. Inside there was a...

“Yurts 1, 2 and 3 are closer together, which would be great if a family or group of friends want to book together. They are also closer to the kids play area and showers. Yurts 6, 7, and 8 have ample shaded yards, which are great for pets or kids. Yurts 4 and 5 are going to be added in the near future.”
