We stayed at the Boissevain Mb. Inn on July 1st and 2nd 2016 and found it to be dirty and very hard to get answers for things. The hours of the front desk are just terrible. The bed was hard as rock, found dirty Kleenex under the bed and had to wear shoes for all the sand and peebles on the floor(no vacuum... When making a reservation make sure you request the remodeled rooms, which are the same price as the older rooms. We stayed in an older room and feel we paid too much for what we got. There wasn't even any kleenex in the room.

Maybe it was just the day...but answers I got from the desk staff were very confusing to me. It went something like this. Check out was at 11:00 or whenever and breakfast started at 7:00 a.m. and went till whenever. The front desk closes at 9:00 p.m. but maybe 7:00 depending on something I didn't quite get. Luckily I didn't... More

I've stayed in many smaller prairie communities in my business travels and The Wilderness Inn rates among the finest. The décor the lobby warrants more than just a glance. Without a reservation, I was assigned a large room with the usual amenities, however, was pleasantly surprised by the King size bed. The room was spotless! I didn't know where I... More

My family and I along with my sisters’ family went to Boissevain for our grandmother’s 90th Birthday/Family reunion. We usually stay with family, but as there were so many people we opted to stay in a hotel. We booked the Canadian Wilderness Inn without any recommendation, we choose it due to the fact that they gave us a great rate... More

We stayed there one night in August 2014. As other traveler said, "this is a charming little town", and this is probably the best accommodation in the town. The room is large and clean. The staff are friendly. Maybe because this is the only choice of the town, some family events/reunion was hosted in the hotel. Not a very quiet... More

Large, clean rooms with coffee, hair blower, fridge and microwave; Great customer service; Very good continental breakfast; Friendly staff. Front lobby is Unique. Make sure you look up. Thought the travellers prayer in the room was beautiful. Tommy the turtle is right across the street. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

We booked a two night stay at this hotel and we were very impressed and satisfied! Upon entering we were greeted by the friendliest staff who instantly made us feel welcome! We checked in and proceeded to our room. The room was complete with king bed, pull out leather sofa, kitchenette with microwave and coffee pot, a flat screen tv... More

After several nights spent in old, musty motels in small towns in western Canada, Montana, and North Dakota we were delighted to find the Canadian Wilderness Inn. It's not fancy, and we had to wait a couple of minutes for the woman on duty to drive over from her home to check us in, but the room was spacious, clean,... More

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights over the holiday weekend. We booked a "family suite" thinking that it would be roomy enough for 5. Don't be fooled by the picture, there is one massive suite in the hotel, the other 2 family suites are tiny and cramped, not enough room for 4 let alone 5. And, the massive... More
