There is no staff at this hostel. The owners live there, but they aren't always in. When there was new guests, it was up to the current guests to show them there room and what to do. There is also next to no storage in the shared rooms (which is essential for ski accommodation really.) That said, this is less...

Place is a mess, kitchen's a mess, unfriendly staff, very unwelcoming.. This hostel is not located in the village, 5 minute drive to the village from hostel (very inconvenient but not mentioned on their website.) I do not recommend staying here if visiting Sun Peaks.

Stayed at the hostel for only 2 nights, THANKFULLY! Had been travelling as a group of 5 around BC/Alberta resorts for two weeks and this was our last stop. The hostel was unclean - kitchen full of dishes, laundry room a mess, and bathrooms disgusting! We arrived around 7pm (online says reception open till 10pm- so plenty of time) we...

Clean Friendly hostel, I had a private room which was plenty of size for me. Could sleep up to 4, but that would make space very limited for your belongings (though more than some big hostels). Like all hostels it depends on the group staying. But the rules were followed and respect given by all which makes a huge difference...

Stayed here with 26 students and 2 adults. This is my 6th year coming here and every time it has been a great experience. Kitchen has everything you need, just clean up after yourselves. Beds are comfy and only a few minute drive from the base of Sunpeaks. Sadly this place is being torn down for condos so this was...

Hostelling is primarily about experience. The Sun Peaks Hostel gives just that, an experience. One can talk about the various amenities, cozy accommodations and wonderful location. But at the true heart of this special place is the sense of being at a home away from home with others from around the world. Once upon a time I depended on the...

Nice, cozy hostel right the Beginning of Sun Peaks. Though we never met staff personally, communication via phone and e-mail worked everything out. We loved the big social room with its well equiped kitchen and tv- perfect place to meet other guests. We also enjoyed the laundry for 5$.

I stayed here with my 8 year old son in a private double that was clean with fresh bedding and plenty of storage space. In addition to a cupboard with three shelves we each had two hanging organizers with 6-8 compartments for storing our clothing and other items. There is space for boot and ski suit storage at the entrance...

we had a private room; place was great, clean and plenty of in/out boarding access - a lock on your room door or open the patio decks would be my only recommendation, oh and maybe another bathroom on the top floor... but I loved it - thanks guys

AWESOME is the word that describes this place. The hosts Darlene and Andy definitely know to make a hostel a home to all their guests. I can't recommend it any higher to anyone considering hostelling in Sun Peaks. It would have to be the best value accommodation on the mountain. For those that haven't ever hostelled, this would be a...
