Our visit to Tyax Wilderness Resort & Spa was part of a self-drive trip through West Canada. Unlike all other places we slept at, this one was by far the hardest to reach as at least 30km is gravel road (which is not nice to cross in poor weather conditions). On top of that, there really isn't much nearby to... More

Dear Robin D, Thank you for providing your valuable feedback on our Trip Advisor page; it is greatly appreciated. It is unfortunate that conditions are poor on the Provincial Highway from Lillooet to our resort. As of now, there is a team of workers that's re-patching sections of the road to hopefully improve the driving conditions. We are pleased to... More

After a two hours drive on - to be honest - a rather frightning road, especially when it's raining, we arrived on this remote resort. It's really a relaxing place to be. An excellent place to catch up with your reading material. Our room had a balcony with a view on Tyaughton Lake (most rooms have). Everything was clean and... More

While looking for a short summer get away with my girlfriend, whom loves horses, I came across Tyax. It was advertised as a horse ranch where she can go do wilderness horseback riding and I can do mountain biking. It did not disappoint. Although I don't think describing it as a horse ranch is accurate. This is a high end... More

We spent two nights at Tyax Lodge. The room was lovely and the setting beautiful. We enjoy biking, horseback rides and good food so we enjoyed the stay. The highlight was the float plane to Spruce Lake where we mountain biked back to the lodge. While the trails were not super technical, the scenery was gorgeous making it a lovely... More

After a difficult drive along 100km of pot-holed, unpaved road we arrived at the most beautiful resort of Tyax Wilderness Resort and Spa. It sits in a forested clearing, at the head of a lake, looking out at snow capped mountains. The view from our balcony was breathtaking. The hotel is perfect for getting away from it all. The use... It was an amazing dinner. The food was 5 star. Presentation and taste was out of this world. I was in awe of each plating . The chef and kitchen staff made a great first impression. Wow! Spent 3 nights here for a yoga retreat. It's comfortable, food is over the top, setting perfect. I can't praise it enough. Lovely staff too. Middle of mountains makes it hard to get to so go for minimum 3 nights. Canoes, kayaks and sup available for guests as well as spa. Bikes and horses for rent. Lots to do.

My wife and I spent a couple of days at the resort, we were greeted by a pleasant front desk person and it kept getting better from there. AMAZING! We had a group of us here for a couple of nights to play in the wilds of BC. The biking was immense, the lake was glorious and we just chilled out and paddled about in the kayaks. I was part of a 10-person group who spent 5 days at the lodge on a TLH heli ski trip. Everyone had an excellent experience. Rooms were nice, food was great, and the staff is remarkably friendly and service oriented. I had a couple of massages which were easy to organize and very good. Large, enjoyable hot tub, steam room,... More
