My wife and I stayed on the 3 night package, which included a zodiac boat trip to Princess Louisa Inlet and kayaking. Our room had the most incredible views as did the restaurant. Having the evening meals overlooking the water was a memorable experience and we found the food to be of a high standard and staff very polite. Our... More

Pros: view. Cons: staff were not very friendly. Food was average and way overpriced. For the event, it was supposed to be a buffet, but I have never been to a buffet where they stand there watching to make sure you only take one protein or one dessert. When we got into our room, our bed was a metre away... More

Dear Customer You were a guest at a wedding and it is unfortunate you didn't enjoy yourselves. The pre night BBQ consists of 7oz sirloin beef patties, mixed green salad, potato salad and berry crumble with whip cream. It also includes tea and coffee service, It is priced as one dinner not a buffet and not all you can eat.... More

Outstanding in every possible way. The most gorgeous views imaginable. Run by a father/son team who care. Warm, personal and attentive service. Did I mention the views? An excellent dining room. By all means book a package that includes the Louisa Inlet zodiac tour. Room tip: Cliffside, ocean-view suites are well worth the modest extra cost. I guarantee that this... More

We made a special trip to eat here. The view is superb, but we waited to order and then waited 20 minutes for ten ounce bowl of chowder at $17. We ordered salmon and ling cod at the same time and another 20 minutes passed before we received portions that were fried hard on one side and about 2.5 to... More

Dear Customer Thank you for your comments. Seafood is especially expensive this year however the chowder is a very large bowl filled with several different types seafood. Most of our guests enjoy it very much. As for your wait , if you order each item to be served one after the other and not at the same time then, yes... More

We planned our road trip to make sure we would be there for my birthday. The place looked amazing on the website and it turned out to be even more stunning in the flesh. The view from the restaurant and our suite was truly breathtaking. We could stay on the balcony and watch nature for hours, the water and mountains... More

A truly lovely place with breathtaking views over the inlet from the dining room and deck. The food was really excellent - imaginative and fresh - and a highlight of the stay. The rooms are cabin style and clean and comfortable but nothing out of the ordinary. It is the location which matters. We did 2 kayaking trips in one... More

We arrived with about 30 others by boat (prebooked). They were unphased by the fact that we had a few extra bodies. Superbly organised we started with pre-dinner drink orders, then children, then starters, then main course. We ordered extra drinks as the evening progressed and at the end were presented individually with a correct bill. The food was very... More

What a fantastic setting and a beautiful hotel. Probably one of the best views on the planet. Zodiac tour was fantastic and the kayaking with the seals just awe inspiring. Also the food was really good. A couple of minor irritants. They got the check wrong on 4 separate occasions and always in the favour of the hotel! The maintenance... More

After a quite short and a bit grumpy welcome , the owner was warming up to us . We stopped to have lunch . The views and deck terrace was spectacular. The food was average and overpriced. But we were glad we stopped and ate before we got on the ferry. As there is no more food along the road

Stayed here using their two night special including a zodiac trip to Princess Louisa Inlet. The weather was pouring rain every day (it's a rainforest after all ) but the enthusiastic staff, spectacular setting and really fine dining made up for it. The water view room was spacious and thoroughly modern. We are already looking forward to going again when... More
