We spent a weekend at Egmont and stayed in this Motel. The rooms are spacious, clean, nothing fancy. The view from second floor is amazing. The area has no mobile signal but they have a reasonable free WiFi so you are not completely cut off. The store adjacent to the motel has all the basic stables as there is only... More

My wife and I have just returned from a great trip to Egmont. This is truly one of the most beautiful little corners of B.C. We tried to make a last minute booking on the Sunshine Coast without much luck. My wife happened to call the Bathgate and her timing was perfect. There had just been a cancellation. I was... More

We stayed in Room# 202 upstairs for two nights. The room has a kitchenette. We especially enjoyed the deck outside our room where we could enjoy a beer and watch the boats in the marina. The mountains are gorgeous. There is a nice general store and laundry nearby. A really good place to stay if you are going on the... More

A bit off the beaten path, but a real pleasant surprise. Booked for one night on return to Sechelt from Pender Harbour. Great location with a lovely deck overlooking the marina in front of us where we enjoyed a glass of wine while watching the boats return and the sun go down. Great facilities. Comfortable room with a great bed.... More

We did not expect this "motel" to be so nice! It was actually fantastic, with very nice accommodations and amenities, very comfortable and clean, in a perfect location by the water. Joe, the owner, was ever so helpful and always there to assist in any way possible. He even made sure our activities were perfectly planned and timed. We saw... More

We called ahead several weeks and made arrangements to tie up at their marina before heading on to Princess Louisa Inlet. The proprietor had us tie up next to a plywood boat house as all of the Bathgate Marina slips appear to be occupied by locals. But this was just fine, there was both electric and water available and we... More

Our stay at Bathgate was great! We rented a little skiff to explore along the coast and enjoyed the gorgeous scenery and spotted lots of wildlife! Everyone we spoke with was extremely kind and friendly. The general store has some fresh catch available along with other vitals to prepare a tasty dinner with out going far! Then you can walk... If you are travelling up the sunshine coast this is a cozy place to stay for a night. The room was small but clean and the view of the marina was nice. If you arrive late and the store is closed look for the buzzer on the side of the hotel. A cell phone number is also provided but service... More

My friend and I stayed at the hotel for three days. The staff was rude, unfriendly and unhelpful. The laundromat was old and expensive. They offer wifi but unavailable 90% of the time. The surroundings so beautiful and relaxing, but the management so awful. I will not return.
