Located midway between Vancouver & Calgary the Resort is located just minutes off the Trans Canada Highway, a 45 minute drive east from Kamloops, or a scenic 2 hour drive north from Kelowna International Airport. Just finished spending three incredible nights at the Resort for my Birthday and it was fabulous! We were impressed with the Lodge's decor note: do not miss a trip to the first floor to see the beautiful metal art work, just wow! The staff were amazing, I applaud them for being Covid conscience as best they could as it is no easy task to please everyone in this regard. The grounds were nicely manicured and we enjoyed spending an afternoon at the beach in front of the resort just looking out at the lake and beautiful landscape of the mountains. The restaurant was unassuming but the food! We had two dinners and two breakfasts here during our three day stay which says a lot for the quality of the food as we do not like to eat at the same place more than once unless it is extraordinary. The chef at the Quaaout Lodge is the real deal, his food is delicious, beautifully presented and very reasonably priced for the quality of food. We have travelled a fair bit and seek out recommended places to eat and Jack Sam's restaurant at the Quaaout Resort is one of those places you should not miss.

We had a lovely stay at Quaaot Lodge. Service was very good. The bed was comfortable and we slept very well.

Quaaot has a few things that we really appreciated. The lights in the washroom and at the bed for reading are nice and bright. It is so nice to have good lighting when using the washroom and reading in bed at night. The bin they have for recycling is nicely divided into 4 sections labeled paper, plastic, metal and glass. In the bedroom they have a hassock underneath the bedside table, this provides a great seat to be used when writing or making notes. You have a little mini desk.

We had a great stay at Quaaot and would highly recommend a stay here. The staff are all very welcoming and helpful.

Everyone at this resort was absolutely lovely! It's not often that businesses focus on providing a wonderful customer experience throughout every engagement with their customers, but I think this resort has done a fabulous job in this regard. Every single employee was simply delightful, friendly, and very accommodating. This included the hotel front desk & cleaning staff, the servers in both the lounge and the dining room, and the golf course front desk staff, along with the golf cart staff and starters. What a beautiful, welcoming place to visit. We'll be back!

We went on a Stay and Play weekend with family. We had 4 rooms rented. The scenery and golf course are stunning but I would have expected more from the rooms. We understand COVID in effect and no room cleaning. However, even placing clean towels outside the room would have been appreciated. The front desk employees were amazing! The dining room was supposed to be fine dining and we all found it sub par with our whole group. Our waitress was not friendly (and we are a friendly bunch!) we had the same waitress 2 nights in a row and were not impressed by how uninterested she was. Two nights with golf for one was just under 800 and our son paid exactly the same as us and they had 2 golfers. Something did not balance and yet no explanation when I called a few days later.

Our sons vehicle was hit in the parking lot with significant damage to the back end.

Overall, golf course amazing, rooms so so, service needs some significant improvement even with COVID in effect. Not worth the 800 for 2 nights with one golfer.

Quaaout Lodge is truly a remarkable venue. The location is absolutely breathtaking, located on Little Shuswap Lake, with stunning views and atmosphere. As wedding photographers, we love all of the incredible photo backdrops to choose from. The rooms are great with lots of natural light and balconies with a lake view. The staff are so accommodating, welcoming and ever so helpful. The venue is exactly what they claim, unique, authentic, and unforgettable. There really is nothing else like it. Even the food is AMAZING! We would highly recommend to anyone looking to explore the Shuswap, experience an unrivaled resort, and those looking for that rare wedding venue!

I’m writing a comprehensive review to highlight the positives and reflect items that could use a change.

The resort is small but very nice. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. They have chairs set up outside on the back lawn area and also on the beach. The view is spectacular of the lake.

I booked a room with a lake view and that was really pushing it. Our room was small, no nicer than any main stream hotel, and our bed faced a wall with tv. To actually see the lake you would have to walk to the end of the room and either side-eye it or go onto the balcony. When I reserved the room, the advertisement on the site stated lake view. I expected full lake view so that was disappointing. There should be options for partial or full view. For a boutique hotel with boutique prices, I was not impressed.

The sheets were soft and comfortable but the mattress was in dire need of replacing. Both me and my husband had sore backs after. The mattress was lumpy and uncomfortable.

The food was really good from the restaurant and very generous portions. Under current restrictions it is room service only and a limited menu. Hopefully the menu expands with new upcoming guidelines. I recommend going to Scotch Creek for more dining options. Its a short drive from the lodge.

The spa is fantastic. I have been twice and had probably one of the best massages I have ever had. They also have a nice line of products to purchase.

I rate this 4 because of the service, location, spa and view. The room in and of itself would be a 2.5/5

First staycation at Quaaout Lodge resort. First impressions were set when we noticed all the beautiful carvings all over entrance ways & doors. We enjoyed the Prime Rib dinner with all the trimmings. Yorkshire Pudding to die for. Decadent desserts. Local wines to pair with any of the great dishes. Breakfast was also exceptional we indulged in The French Toast (Brioche bread) and Eggs Banodict. The Skwlax band has done an excellent job integrating there tastes & infusions in most of their dishes. A must try. I highly recommend it.

Recently visited this property for the 2nd time and certainly will be back. I attended a visioning session with 2 other colleagues over 2 days. The guest room was very comfortable, clean, and spacious. The meeting room was all that we needed but the coffee and water could have been refreshed between. The fitness room was very clean (most hotel gyms aren't) and had all of the equipment and space for a great workout.

I really enjoyed all of the fine details and thoughtful features that make this place special. What I enjoyed most was Jack Sam's restaurant. The servers were very friendly and attentive. The quality, speed and presentation of meals was impressive. The ingredients were high quality (thick slices of bacon, lingcod fish & chips, homemade granola, etc) and the presentation was very good.

Overall, a very good stay. I have recommended it since leaving a few days to anyone I have talked with. Oh, and I forgot a computer mouse in my room and they are mailing it to me. That's great service. Thank you. See you again!

Quaaout Lodge is a beautifully situated resort at the end of Little Shuswap Lake. Our room was comfortable and well appointed with a balcony view over the beach.
The staff was friendly and efficient and the facilities including the hot tub and pool were clean and inviting. We were particularly impressed by the lodge restaurant which serves very high quality locally sourced food. We particularly enjoyed the shared charcuterie board which featured locally cured meats, artisan cheese and
delicious house fermented pickles. The wine list features reasonably priced BC wines and a good variety of BC craft beers. All in all we had a very enjoyable stay.

It is a beautiful lodge with a beautiful setting right on little Shuswap Lake, beautiful. We had a room with a balcony close to the beach and a fantastic view. The only problem was that we got a room for people with a disability which we did not need or asked for. I hated the bathroom as it had handels all over and looked very industrial. Don't give rooms for people with a disability to people who do not need or want it. We had a pedicure in the Spa and the nail polish came off one day after which was a very bad job.
Restaurant in the lodge was perfect and service was excellent. Also the golf course is phenomenal and the staff there unbelievably nice and accommodating especially the starter. Thank you, it was a great golf get away.

Waytk and our apologies for the delay. We do have space for you in the resort if you ae looking to get away. Sadly our patio is under construction however most guests have elected to have room service or have a nice picnic out by the lake. You can view our current menu and rooms availability on our website . We are currently running a great Okanagan residents special.
Answer from QuaaoutLodge
Chase, Canada
Our beach is sandy with the lake bottom being fairly soft. The lake is warm in August, although this is relative depending on what you are used to. Temperatures are fairly average for the southern interior of British Columbia, perhaps a little bit cooler than you might find in the Okanagan Valley. The water level in Little Shuswap Lake fluctuates over the course of the year with annual high water in mid to late June. By August the lake level has dropped somewhat, giving us a nice sized sloped beach for resort guests. The lake bottom in front of the resort is a fairly consistent for 300-400 feet out from shore. By August the water depth is typically waist to chest deep on the average adult until you get quite far out offshore. You can view photos on our website or Facebook page.
