We were here during a road trip for one night, but this hotel is awful, it has not been renovated for ages. Everything is dirty, or fall apart. Asked the desk manager for something, she had this attitude of "whatever", yeah. ohh really... oh hm. Oh something is broken or not working or dirty oh. hm, yeah I don't have anything for replacement sorry. Problems: - Dirty cookers / coffeemachine and toasters on room - no remote control for TV - broken shower and tap and no flushing in toilet. - no airco, it's sticky - staff is not prepared for unhappy customers - staff do lot of promises but don't do anything about it (complaints)
I was working in the area and was in hotel for over 3 weeks. My room was great, had a kitchenette so was able to make my meals without much trouble. Bed was comfortable and bedding clean and when asked for room to be cleaned there was no issues. Staff was friendly and looked after any requests or issues right away. Unfortunately the restaurant wasn’t open which is attached to the hotel but hopefully that will reopen once we get over the COVID-19 restrictions etc. The parking was good and when there was snow the parking stalls were cleaned and entrance was clear and salt/sanded.
Too old, too dark rooms, too used up, not clean, broken equipment. My travel agency booked this hotel. After checking the room, we left and went for another hotel nearby. Not even good enough for one night. I would never go back to that barn, not even if it was for free.
Sept 22 Well @4pm the room wasn’t ready I could cope with that. We were spending one night here the carpet frayed door did not fit properly I put something in front before we slept. We did not shower as I did not know what might come out of shower head the whole place was real tatty from walls furniture and skirting boards I ran a tissue round the sink ugh ! Black The only redeeming factor in the place were the sheets lovely and clean I checked The staff friendly and helpful It is interesting that the hotel does not respond to negative reviews
We were traveling through Cache Creek in our way from sky to sea and had to stop in cache creek. The clerk handing us our keeps was rely nice and helpful but we only got a room On ground floor. There were used cans in the room, dirt in the shower and wash basin and the door seems like it has been broken up at least once. We could somehow manage the filth in the room but we sincerely had security concerns since the room is directly across Ike by road on ground level and only offers a safety bar door lock, no additional safety. Actually I was able to see trough the slits in the door.
Great place to stay at a really good price. We were very impressed with the world class service from the amazing staff. The day of our arrival prior to arriving we got a call asking if they should turn on the air conditioning to cool our room down in the summer heat.
Staff was very accommodating and helpful over the phone and once we arrived they were more than welcoming to us with open arms Al at the front desk with his coworker David were fantastic and very considerate!! Thank you so much!!
I booked this hotel for my husband and I and my 2 grown boys. We booked 2 rooms. Check in was easy, straight forward and quick. They still use regular room keys but we had no issues getting into the rooms. When I called to book…online reservations didn’t work she asked if 2 queens in each room was ok. I said yes as my boys each needed their own bed. After we checked in we discovered that both rooms were only one double bed each. My husband and I kept our room and I went to switch the one for my boys. That was not an issue. We got a new room right away. This is an old hotel and it is starting to show its age. You can tell they have tried to do some restoration but it has been poorly done especially the painting. Our room had grey painted over pink and it was splotchy and streaked. They didn’t remove any items like pictures or toilet tanks….they just painted around them. The hallways and stairwells had paint over wallpaper and the paint didn’t go all the way to the ceiling. I would definitely demand a refund from the painter. Very poorly done! The boys room was ok. Clean and what they needed for the night. Our room was a bit of a different story. The sheets and towels were clean so I was happy about that. I wasn’t happy that when I took a shower and closed the curtain there was some type of bodily fluid splattered all over it. It was gross…a brownish red splatter stain on the white cloth shower curtain…and bits of curly black hair on the shower walls. The room also was dusty and felt a bit dirty….I didn’t take my socks off to walk on the carpet until I was in bed. No one has washed windows sills I’m a while either…I could write my name in the dirt. Now there were some positives…bed was comfortable and clean. Pillows were of various firmness and clean. My husband and I both had a decent sleep. Towels were clean and the shower had a great temperature and pressure. They provided a very nicely scented shampoo, conditioner and lotion…even a hand sanitizer. This was an ok hotel. I would not likely choose it again but for what we needed it was alright. Staff was super helpful and friendly. Bagged breakfast in the morning was a nice addition and the little park like yard was pretty. Not the best hotel I’ve stayed in but definitely not the worst…
Hotel rooms were dirty and old. Bathrooms wasnt cleaned and we had to be moved to another room. Bathroom was still dirty and managment had to clean again. AC was extremely loud. Hotel needs serious updates and is not in par with current standards even for a small town.
I am so amazed of Sandman Inn Cache Creek managers, they have out done themselves to make you feel welcome. Denise you have the warmest smile. My room was clean, bed so comfy, and lobby smells so fresh. Thanks Denise for a great stay, hope to come again. M.R.
