Surprisingly nice accommodation. Park at the door of the units. Pleasant and friendly owners who checked to see that all was OK. Extremely nice clean unit with firm bed and lots of hot water. TV remote that could be understood. Will fit our future trips to northern B.C. to stay here again. Very nice indeed.

Older Motel but the rooms are clean and the bed was comfortable there is nothing special about this place but also nothing particularly to complain about either. Breakfast is not included which is a pity. There is a coffee pot in the room and a fridge, although the fridge was set too cold and my water bottle was frozen in... More

The person on front desk was very welcoming, and the room clean and serviceable. The beds comfortable. Right on the main road so easy to find after a long drive up from Vancouver. Our room had a mini kitchen which made meal preparation easy as we didn't want to eat out.

Booked kitchenette that had full size fridge, and microwave. Room was comfortable with experienced dated furniture. Musty smell went away with the front door open. Outside screen door was nice that allowed me to do this. Nice size flat screen tv. Wi-fi was easy and has strong signal. Bed was clean, firm but comfortable.

I booked this hotel sight unseen through TravelAdvisor. Either I missed the option to say one person, not two, or there wasn't an option. In any case, when I arrived as one person, the desk clerk continued to charge me the 2 person rate. The room was OK except it lacked a luggage rack. I believe the box covered in... More

After a long, beautiful, but tiring motorcycle ride, the Wanakena Motel provided the 3 C's: comfortable, even cozy, and clean. They offer the choice of a bedroom, small living room and kitchen for a very reasonable price. We had a good night's sleep. The manager was personable and accommodating. Our room was facing east. We enjoyed a rainbow in the evening... More

I echo the previous reviews. This place is a pleasant surprise, well-maintained, clean, with lots of space both inside and out. Pride of ownership is obvious with the friendly, accommodating manager. Beds were comfy, the location was quiet and we could sleep with the window open because the bedroom window opens onto the big forest behind the building. Lot of... More

We were pleasantly surprised here. Proprietors are friendly and accommodating. The rooms are large,my bed was very comfortable. The room was really clean, there was obvious evidence of upgrades (bathroom and TV). Things were painted and tidy. Am happy to recommend this accomodation.

Room was older but great for the family ... We travelled with an infant and the way the room is divided was perfect. It's like a small apartment with a small kitchen including oven full fridge dishes and utensils ... Living room had a couch and bed .. Another bed in the bedroom which is separated by a wall with...
