The trip to Ainsworth is half the fun.Beautiful scenery. The free 35 minute ferry ride from Kootnay Bay to Balfour holds 85 cars and did I mention...Free. It is the longest , free Ferry ride in the world. Comfy new beds, clean room, complimentary robes to wear to the hot springs pool. The pool is not super hot which i liked. There is... More

We took our second trip to the hot springs this summer. Our first trip the caves of the hot springs were closed for renovation. This time they were open and the kids loved it!! The only bad part is they are SO crowded. Friendly staff. Clean changing rooms and pool area.

Favourite hot springs in BC. Caves are neat and quite the experience for all. The pools are nice for relaxing as well. The hotel is clean and quiet. One can easily stay, dine and enjoy the hot springs all in one location which is enjoyable. There isn't much close by so it's a lovely option. Great for couples and families.

I had a slight allergic reaction to hotel. Food was average at best, the steak was over cooked and chewy. Water was hot which is the best attribute to our visit. Hotel staff are friendly but do not expect a visit concierge, you have to look for what you need. All was ok, not sure if I will return, nothing... More

We have been to this resort many times, and this trip was the last stop on our Hot Springs tour with friends. Many changes since we were here a year ago. The lobby has been updated more, some more hotel rooms have been updated, and the pool entrance/gift shop area has been completely remodeled with an open walkway area to... More

This is a cute hotel. The rooms are basic, a little small but has everything you need. The free wifi is not as great as you'd think. It's spotty and unreliable. Don't rely on Netflix for evening entertainment because it will cut out every 5 mins. The main attraction is the hot springs pool. This is open to the public... More

The hot springs were badly sign posted coming from Nelson. It was enjoyable and different. The staff were very friendly and funny. The picture on the brochure led us to believe it was bigger than what it was.

The pools and caves are small but very fresh and relaxing. Beautiful scenery around you while you're in the hot springs. The caves were quiet and fun to swim in. Easy access from your hotel room to the hot springs. The hotel and pool staff were friendly. Hotel room was nice and clean. My only complaint would be is the... More

Enjoyed the hot springs and a good nights rest. Staff in lobby extremely helpful and cleaning service great. We had breakfast there and everyone in our party was very disappointed except for the Ainsworth Omlette. The breakfast sandwich had non toasted english muffin, cold eggs, slice of cheese. Horrible. JB's Restaurant was outstanding over the top, great food and service.... More

While staying in Nelson BC we decided to make the 45 minute drive along Kootenay Lake to the Ainsworth hot springs ( this was our first visit ). This smaller resort is located in an area by itself along the highway so access is very convenient. When we arrived and paid the $11 fee each ( seniors are $1 less... More
