This was our 4th visit to the Gunton for a meal and we all thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of the evening. Our food was exceptional and I had a huge starter of fresh Crab which was delicious. My only criticism would be that is very little on the menu suitable for summer. I have noted a number of previous reviews... More

Stunning building set in beautiful grounds, absolute all round one of the best places I've been to eat. Incredible artwork, wine, lobster. Pricey but worth it for a little treat! Staff super friendly and chatty. The lobster was cooked to perfection, cannot fault anything!

Professionally ignored and not for the first time as we arrived... No greeting whatsoever let alone a welcome. Food was very ordinary and the staff have no idea that they are in what's commonly known as the "hospitality" industry. Been many times before but will be giving the place a rest for a while hopefully while the staff get some... More

We stayed for one night and had a lovely time. It is more of a bed and breakfast experience in an upmarket private home with a pub/restaurant attached. The decor by Robert Kime and artwork by the owner makes it a special destination. The staff were very friendly and our meal in the restaurant was delicious. There is unfortunately limited... More

Another outstanding meal at The Gunton Arms. I took my dad for Father's Day, we both had a Sunday roast. I had suckling pig off of the specials and my dad the sirloin beef, which was cooked absolutely perfectly. Melted in your mouth. Only thing I could be a tiny bit picky about was that the potatoes wernt as crispy... More

5 of us met at the Gunton Arms on a drizzly Sunday afternoon in June, 3 of us were staying the night and 2 more joined us for dinner. Upon arriving we went through a door marked reception and wandered through 2 rooms, unable to find reception - a lady appeared and asked if she could help us and we... More

We stayed three nights in one of the largest rooms. What a disappointment. I will say now that the food is great (or at least the steaks are), however this is a review of the hotel. They are currently building 11 more rooms. They really need to up their game everywhere to match the dining experience. This place seems to... More

We'd come on the strength of a recommendation and expectation was heightened by the approach through the trees and an iron gate to find The Gunton Arms on the edge of an expansive Norfolk estate with roaming deer. We weren't disappointed. A busy bar area and vibrant restaurant, graced with interesting (some quite edgy) modern art, heralded an equally intriguing... More

The food is brilliant. I had the pie , whilst waiting for the veg and asking where it was we got told you have to order the veg separately which we thought was slightly odd as it didn't come cheap considering what you pay for the mains. You would have thought that would of included it but never the less... More

We stayed for 3 night at the Gunton and very enjoyable they were too. This hotel/pub is extremely difficult to describe as it is a mixture of fine quality and shabby chic which works to great effect. In the bedroom one has the best quality mattress and duck down pillows and a fantastic shower in the bathroom. The remainder of... More
