My train arrived late evening. Location was the main reason I chose this B&B. I love to walk, so lodging has to be within walking distance to Amtrak station. Was quiet worried to walk when it's dark, hardly no street lights, I used my smartphone light and google map GPS was on. Mr. Carr welcomed me outside the front porch.... More

I was in town on business and was delighted to find the Dakotah Rose! The house is beautiful, the rooms are spacious and very comfortable, and the hosts, Jim & Carol are warm. I will definitely stay again if business brings me to Minot in the future.

Lovely mansion with lots of character. We stayed in the Victorian Room Suite. The room was spacious but the decor seemed a little busy and a bit overboard on the "rose" theme. To each their own. Air conditioner was noisy and the bed was too soft for our liking. However, the hosts were very welcoming and the breakfast was amazing.... More

This B&B is located in the residential district of Minot. It has beautiful curb appeal! This beauty is carried to the interior. It is beautifully decorated in Victorian furnishings, wall and window coverings and little touches that add to the comfort. The owners, Jim & Carol Carr, were very welcoming and friendly. Jim even offered to help with our luggage!... More

We have stayed with Jim and Carol Carr at their Dakotah Rose B&B for the last two years when we took in the Minot state fair. The rooms are nicely decorated for the age of the house and always very clean. Each night we were treated to a homemade treat and wonderful breakfasts both her and Jim had prepared and... More

On a 100 degree day in mid-July, I was greeted by a colorful garden, white wicker furniture on the front porch, an air-conditioned room and a homemade sweet. The Garden Room was spacious and incredibly comfortable. The breakfast, delicious. Jim and Carol are lovely. It was a treat to stay at the Dakotah Rose.

Jim and Carol were very accomodating from booking to check out. I had some trouble with Amtrak skeds and were still able to accomodate me when I re-booked. I will leave the exploring around the building for my next trip.

Breakfasts were EXCELLENT each day during our 4 day stay. Ample parking, quiet neighborhood, and very accommodating hosts made for a wonderful experience. Room nicely appointed with a commanding view of the Souris River. Very quiet at night so sleep was not disturbed.

Our party of four stayed two nights at the Dakotah Rose on a trip around the state that started and ended in Minot. The train got in very late, but Jim was there to greet us, and the three rooms we stayed in were clean and charming in this turn of the century home. In the morning Carol made us... More

A very nice heritage home B & B. We loved looking at all the furnishings and pictures. The accommodations were comfortable and relaxing. We were able to lock the door once inside our room, but there was no key to use to lock your room when you left. That was a little unsettling. The breakfast was delicious and served beautifully.
