Short holiday only 5 days.
The hotel is on top of a hill, 20 min walk to the beach. But... the most interesting and happy thing: it has cable to the beach!!! So, you don't need to come and go walking. more than 1km you will be charmed by the beauty of the sea, seen from the height.
Clean rooms, big swimming pool.
The all inclusive with beer and 3types of wine. The food is mostly traditional, but you can find daily chicken & fries.
It was a nice experience

Staying during June 2017 All Inclusive
The first impression is the rooms are not renewed at least lobby and 4th floor. There is no elevator in the hotel so it is a little Taft to go upstairs many times a day. Bathrooms are outdated and there is a nasty smell sometimes. The rooms are small and is good for two people and one child. There is no space for 4 persons. The view and Balcony are very good Housekeepers did their job well.
There is no free parking or just few parking spaces.
No free Internet. You have to pay 5 euro for a week and is slow.
The pool is very good and clean.
The Restaurant is outdated and the food for AI is cheap but is very well prepared and is tasty. Compliment for the Chief.
Waiters did their job very well.
There is Animators in the hotel and they are very pleasant and positive persons.
This is a family hotel and is save to stay.
After all the hotel have no more that 2 stars but Greathings to all personal 5 stars to them.

We didn't know what to expect from the Bona Vita. I would say it is more suited to the local market than to European visitors unless you are used to Bulgaria which we are.
It is all very grand in an outdated way but kind of cute. The bedrooms are great with balconies although the door didn't lock but I just settled my head and didn't worry because I carried my valuables with me. The shower was variable between roasting hot and lukewarm but I always managed. The skirting boards are in true Bulgarian style - carpet tacked interestingly. We saw this in Pamporovo in a 5 star hotel and were amazed at this method of finishing the flooring. This along with the bumpy flooring makes it look 'interesting' when a good skirting board or tiling would finish it off. I think some Europeans would find this odd but we like the quirkiness of it.
The pool area although dated was extremely pleasant. We had a visit to the beach on the scary ski lift and we both injured ourselves so I wouldn't advise it for those who aren't used to ski lifts or are not very agile. It was also quite high with very huge drops on to cement so I had a few moments where I didn't really like it. Adrenaline junkies would love it - hubby did until he ripped his leg jumping off.
The beach is really pretty and worth a visit where you can play games with the staff like volleyball and bowls. If you are all inclusive you will get free drinks at the beach bar.
The food at the hotel is buffet style and although it's not 5 star you should be able to get enough to keep you going. To be honest I don't know how the hotel affords to do all inclusive at the price they charge but we were very happy and thankful to find that we were all inclusive.
There is a very happy chappy who runs the events in the bar at night. He is young, fun and is great at making you feel included. Amazingly we won the quiz which had questions we thought we couldn't answer as a couple were Bulgarian questions. It was a lot of fun.
The girls on reception were so cute and sweet and really did try to speak English as our Bulgarian is very poor.
We didn't get a chance to try the spa but had a look at it and it seemed fine.
I found the dining staff a bit off putting though as I thought they could have made more of an effort to make the dining experience more pleasant by chatting and smiling. I'm not sure if that is the norm but we have found staff in restaurants to be very friendly.
The chamber maids were outstanding - pleasant even though they didn't speak our language we were able to communicate. They left the rooms spotless every day.
The security guards are very attentive to whoever parks there. They come out immediately when you drive in and ensure you are parked in the spill over car park which is just across the lane. Very handy. You can be sure your car will be safe with these guys about.
The only thing I would say to people before you go is that you need to check your mobility. This area is not good for walking. It is not easy to get to the seafront and it is a bit of a journey to Varna and Golden Sands. We have our own car there and get taxis when we want to drink so you need to factor this in. You are not getting a sea front property close to restaurants and shops so bear this in mind. If you are looking for a cheap stay, eating in house, lay by the pool holiday, then you've got it. Otherwise you'll need to make an effort with taxis, walking and buses. The bus goes from the main road every ten minutes or so at a couple of lev so easy and cheap but you'll need to walk a good distance to the bus stop.
If you do go out you will find it so cheap. A full on three course meal with sushi, wine and cocktails for 3 people at the Happy Bar in Varna which is one of the upmarket restaurants in the area will cost you about 110 lev or just over £50.
Thanks to the Bona Vita for making our stay pleasant.

I had a good stay, the rooms were spacious and very clean with a wonderful sea view.
On the restaurant side, all inclusive should have greater diversity in food. Also the drinks are not of good quality.
The staff are very friendly, especially the Reception, they are very young but I saw that they have a great experience in communicating with the guest.
All the best.

Hotel wants to cancel the booking and pretends to be closed, but still takes bookings for the period at a price €150 higher. The company probably wants to get out of the booking and this is how they are trying to do this.

I really liked the hotel. It was very clean and tidy. The restaurant was brilliant and the food was very tasty. I didn't like the fact that it was far from the beach but the lift was a pleasant surprise. The animation was on point. Would recommend.
