Absolutely disgusting embarrassed to say where I stayed, Bulgaria is a beautiful country but this hotel is filthy the food is disgusting and the service is terrible Never ever again! Avoid at all costs Needs to be shut down environmental health would have a field day here! My 6yo grandson found medication on the floor of our room (thank god he gave it to me) my children haven’t ate at the restaurant since arriving here as the food is just not acceptable we are paying to eat out every day after paying an all inclusive price for this place, Rooms are mouldy, We have been told we would be fined if we push anyone in the pool (which we haven’t used) but the staff do it to each other on a regular, No food or drink in rooms yet a fridge is there for you to use for what? Your shoes! :( Worst hotel I ever stayed in and staff not keen on our family cos we let them know…. If your going to Bulgaria stay well away from hotel gladiola 3 star it doesn’t even deserve half a star! DISGRACEFUL…
The hotel is not more than avarage from all perspectives: cleanliness of the rooms, the food from the restaurant and personnel attitude etc. A good thing is the closeness to the beach, but to get there you will go trgough the local market which doesn’t add any charm. They provide parking in front of the hotel for 10 leva per day but do not assure the safety of the cars. Our car was damaged at the hotel parking and the attitude of the staff was not even close to be helpful in this situation, in order to find out who might be the guilty, which can be assumed being one of the hotel’s guests. The police also did not show any intention of investigating the case. So don’t count on hotel security or the police in this situations. The very low empathy level from the parking men, receptionist and the administrator is below any consideration. During our stay in the hotel were hosted large groups of young people which were very loud and created very big queus at the restaurant. The management didn’t take ant measures in order to facilitate the situation for the rest if the guests.…
We had a cheeky little late deal so we paid next to nothing. Good points... Location, location, location. You're almost on the beach front and the bar right in front served cheap, decent cocktails with an amazing pool and sun loungers that you can use free providing you're having a drink. You're slap bang in the middle of Golden sands. Rooms were big and clean,in fact I'm gonna give a virtual high five to the cleaning staff, because it was spotless. Food was surprisingly good (lamb, pork, prawns and loads of fresh salad) Staff were friendly and polite. No their English isn't great, but then why should it be?? Bad points... Alcohol. Couldn't get pissed there if I tried 😂 in fact, I was probably the only person there that was all inclusive and still had a bottle in my handbag!! Facilities, we went out of season so it wasn't too busy, but there is no way that swimming pool is big enough when the hotel is full and the outdoor bar isn't big enough to get served at. Still a bit confused about the difference between the 4 star bit and the 3 star bit, but for us it was just a place to get our heads down so it was fine for that. Happy holidays x…
We just arrived back from a week at the Gladiola star all inclusive. It was the worse hotel I have ever stayed in. Every day there were drunks singing shouting and a few times fights broke out between drunken girls. NONE OF THE STAFF was bothered even though complaints was made on many occasions. The staff was rude and had long miserable faces and never smiled. The worse one was a guy who was supposed to be the restaurant bar manager.......... So rude and miserable. He should get some training in customer service with a smile. Some of the guys behind the bar was great, so a big thank you to them. All the drinks from the bar in reception is in plastic cups, and massive plastic straws, they do not worry to much about the environment at the Gladiola. The food was very basic and ate out most evenings. The breakfast was ok though. The gents toilets were smelly, not cleaned regular enough and one of the urinals was out of use all week and the others overflowed at times. The rooms were clean and cleaned daily. We paid peanuts for a weeks stay there so really this review is not complaining its just being factual. So if you fancy being kept awake every night this is the place to book. We will not be going back.…
Stayed here for 10 nights towards end of September 2019. All inclusive was such good value for money, food was really fresh and tasty with plenty of choices. The room was clean and well looked after by the cleaning ladies. The staff are all unbelievably helpful and friendly, excellent welcoming customer service. We would definitely return, my only point would be that the location of the pool area in front of the hotel meant that it becomes over shadowed from 2/3pm and got a little chilly. However, the beach is so close so it doesn't really matter! Well done to all the lovely staff at The Gladiola Star, keep up the good work.
I highly recommended this hotel located right in the centre of the Golden sands. Go for all inclusive in this hotel. Varied choices of freshly made menu very delicious , unlimited drinks of all sorts, and daily room cleaning etc. Staff are friendly, smiling and helpful. Reception Staff Olga and the manager were so accommodating from the start to finish of our holiday, they were excellently helpful given us a customer satisfaction service. I am so grateful with all the great services this hotel has given us, plus the extra day all inclusive bonus stay till our flight. I definitely coming back here someday somehow 👍 🙏 Thank you very much Gladiola 🙏the manager and Olga ❤️😘👌 Love from us, The Roberts from room 610❤️xxx
We got to the hotel and there was a problem with our reservation, after a 10-hour car ride. The Reservations manager was helpful and did his best to find a solution, which eventually was found. The room was big and very clean, the beds were made every day and the towels were changed daily, mattresses are firm and good, the sheets are clean. The food was very good, you definitely had something to pick from, whether it was a salad, a soup, main course or dessert. The pool is only open until 5 pm and there are enough sun beds for everyone.
A modern, spacious & quality hotel but with limited facilities. There are two small pools (with a few uncomfortable plastic sunbeds) to the front of the hotel as well as a small supermarket, pharmacy, tattooist & doctors surgery. That said, the hotel is virtually on the beach and surrounded by bars, restaurants, shops & a small market. Our room was fabulously spacious and luxurious. It had a large balcony, wardrobes, plenty of storage, a fridge, good sized & comfortable beds (apart from the pillows that felt as if they were made of stone), the en-suite had a bath with shower attachment, hairdryer & the other usual facilities. Clean towels & toiletries were replaced daily. The restaurant was large & airy & the tables were placed comfortably apart. The food was nice but the Menu was definitely devised for the Eastern European & German palate. Restaurant service was sometimes too efficient with waiters/waitresses clearing the table before we'd finished eating. The bar service was slow & drinks were limited. On the whole I found the staff to be friendly & helpful but definitely lacking in their English speaking skills. The restaurant manager & a couple of the bar staff were ignorant and rude. All in all a lovely hotel but not if you are British.…
We came here at 4.00 am, scared that we have to wait till 2.0.pm. Our worries were unnecessary. We immediately got a clean room. The room was clean (only some tiles in the corner were a little stains) , big and sunny. The towels were changed daily and we also got the room cleaned. The receptionists were kind and really helpful, we had some emergency and the helped us to solve it in a minute. The canteen was really great. I think it was the best part of this hotel. The food was different everyday and really delicious. But not much kinds. Also there were cakes amd sweets. Everyday you could have some fruit and many salates. Also you can get snacks and ice cream in cerain time. The bar was good with nice stuff and bottled alcohol, so you can see what you get. Unfortunately, evenings were awfull, there were mostly noisy germans and it was crowded by them. I need to complain about the germans. They were totally horrible, I hardly can describe their behaviour, they were like the animals. Also they were rude and noisy even though after 23.00, that was called as night calm. We also found some chairs threw out of the windows and ended up on the hotel roofs. The pool was clean with lifeguard. The sea was great, mostly waves, but we do love them, so we enjoyed them, also was really clean and lifeguards were aslo there. Be careful where putting on your stuff. We had to paid for staying on the some "area with payment". The hotel is near to clubs, so we heard the sound, but we got used to it and felt asleep anyway. Near to the hotel are many things to do, so you can't be bored here. Prices are low To sum up, this holiday was really pleasant, only the german guests were the problem, but hotel can't do anything with that, and also the noise. …
We booked a 10 day sejour at hotel Gladiola. On arrival we've been assigned room 612 that looked very much 2 *, even though we expected for the price we paid 3 to 4*. When we asked for a bigger bed, the reception admitted that we have been offered an inferior room for what we paid. The new room, 414, looked better but the bathroom often smelled like a canal. In the afternoon the music started pouncing the room not only from the bazaar down at the promenade but also from the bars uphill. The continuous beat of the trance music penetrated the walls, making rest impossible. After midnight the hotel got lively: loud music from rooms and knocking at doors, late night room parties, furniture scrapping noises, booming steps above and drunken yelling. Nobody bothered to inform us that this was an youth hotel. We could barely sleep a few hours. To save our holiday, we decided to move asap. We found a room with a sea view less than half price at a family hotel, 20 min walk down the road. We went back to Gladiola to negotiate any small refund in order to free their room so that we recouped our expense. It would have been a win-win situation. But they refused only to deny us the breakfast we paid for until we threatened to call the police. At the swimming pool, we were asked to pay for the chairs, the hotel claiming that they were free only for the all inclusive package. Since no document stated this restriction, we argued and won the case but only as a favour to us. Having been properly informed, we would not have chosen this hotel in the first place.…
