Frankly after reading all the reviews for this hotel, I was expecting the worst experience ever. Fortunately everything turned out to be OK. The hotel is very well situated, near the forest, about 7 min walking to the beach. In the morning when we were getting down to the beach we could heard the birds singing and the air was so fresh. We checked in as soon as we arrived and we had a lovely studio. The room was spacious, clean, overlooking to the pool and to the sea. We had two balconies and a big wardrobe. The beds were big and comfortable.The food was good, each day we found dishes that we liked. The coffee was strong, good and tasty. We were not all inclusive, because we like to travel and we do want to have all the meals in the same place. We were only half board. The room was cleaned every day. The towels were change on daily basis. We came by car and we found a parking space, in the hotel parking area. This is a very good thing, because in Golden Sands there is always a problem parking your car. It is true that you have to walk few steps to arrive to the beach or to the strip, and it could be a little difficult to climb back to the hotel, after you have been walking for hours. But in rest the climbing is not so hard. So, I am glad that none of the bad reviews turned out to be true in our case. I have loved our staying to Edelweiss hotel.

The area it`s very quiet and with a beautiful view to the sea.The room it`s very clean,good beds,the sheets and the towels are replaced every 2 days or at request. The pool it`s also very clean and beautiful but not so deep (1.4meters) so I wasn`t very pleased with this,also it`s open only till 6PM. The only major prolem here it`s the food which it`s bad to very bad.They are not tasty at all and the quality it`s very poor.Sometimes the salads are sour (tomatoes,sweetcorn,cheese) so be careful. The staff it`s nice but a lil bit sloppy

We stayed at hotel Edelweiss for one week from 1st june 2014. Overall emotions are rather positive. Food was good, I do not eat a lot of meat, but chicken was every day really good at lunch and dinner. My partner really liked fish. We had all inclusive package, which included drinks from 10.00-22.30. Alcoholic drinks which were included were gin, rum, vodka, whiskey, beer. Gin+ lemon tonic was the best! And also they gave you three or five drinks at one time if you asked. Staff was nice and polite. Animation team was fun and friendly, lots of activities for children. In the first week on june the inside pool wasn't working. They said it was a pump problem or something like that, but we bealive it was closed beacause there weren't so many people in the hotel. Also the pool bar was closed at that time, they were making arragements for opening. The outside pool is without heating so the water was quite cold, but we still went for a swim, beacause the water in the sea was about 17 degrees. It was a nice vacation, not so many tourist, nightlife was awesome, you should visit Malibu beach club, the best!!! A loto of places to eat and drink, so you should think if you want to spend your money outside or take all inclusive in the hotel. Staff spoke russian and english, better even english. From the main street you can buy excursions like trip to Nessebar, which is a lovely little hostorical city, or bulgarian night and many more. The wheater wasn't that good. 3 days we had clear sunny day and other days were cloudy and a little bit of rain, so if you want to visit golden sands in june, take something warm to wear just in case. It's easy and cheap to go to Varna, but there is absolutely nothing to see, better spend your time in golden sands seriously. Really enjoyed our stay and can't wait to go back! We had a room 421 with a nice view to the sea and pool ! Housekeeping changed towels when you put them on the floor, nice ladies, speaking good russian. The rooms were nice, with a balcony with seating area, those who had rooms on second floor i guess had terrace for sunbathing. Bed was maybe a little bit hard but after first night it was okey. Lunch and dinner really great, breakfast a little bit poor, but still you will not starve. Hotels location is bad. At night the ligths on the streets don't work, so its hard to see especially when your drunk, but we made it still. Its a nice workout every day if you go to the main steert about 2km. We werent really annoyed, after that much food you should walk. After reading all posts about hotel we were scared a little bit, but actually it wasn't that bad, also there is a free bus that takes you to the beach and back to hotel. So you dont even have to walk if you dont want. We liked it, and hopefully will visit Golden Sands again.
