Happily, the breakfast was acceptable and good, not much variety as in other places. Unfortunately, I am very disappointed with this hotel … it was worse than I expected. First of all, it is very old (that’s not the main problem) but with a lack of maintenance, old and bad looking furniture, structure … Second, is VERY dirty…. a lot of dead insects on the floor behind the curtains and beds… the tables dirty with juice … Bad canalization.. No air conditioning on the room, we had to sleep with the window opened and woke up with mosquito bites. The parking is paid, the Wi-Fi is paid… More to say… but my last advice for this hotel is to use and save the money they receive to MAINTAIN and RENOVATE! If not.. I really think they will lose clients.

We was not expecting much because it was a cheap late deal. However it was a shock! The room was dirty and in a poor state furnishings and decor. The walls were paper thin not leaving anything to the imagination. The bathroom reminded us of a concentration camp. The massage woman got very annoyed when I told her I could get the treatment cheaper at home.

Well I expected a dump and it certainly lived up to my expectations albeit a clean and friendly dump. Rooms are small amd extremely dated and need total refurbishment. No air con, need to hire fan but pool is nice and location is good. Breakfast is ok if you have toast and egg. on a good day hot dog sausages are there too. The toaster is from the 70's and takes ages but it adds to the character if this shockingly poor place. Cockroaches join select rooms in the evening and most staff are friendly apart from Helga at reception. Our rep was lovely though. Wires exposed from sockets or ripped from wall, paint peeling and damp. Shower is good and you can wash your hands whilst showering as so compact. Maid comes in daily and towels are changed every 3 days. life guard doesn't allow any jumping or diving or splashing. An experience for sure.

This place is filthy and dated Was given keys to 2 rooms with 3 single beds in. Wall paper peeling from walls. About 40 Dead flies in ceiling light pulled the pillow case off the pillow to find badly stained pillows. When we complained and asked for clean room was told it would cost extra. We sat down at the front of the hotel to wait for rep. He finally came. And basically was told we had paid for 2 star and this was 2 star hotel. We finally moved in to clean rooms but only had 2 beds in. So due to there been 6 of us I had to share with another family member and my wife and daughter stayed in another twin room. Our daughter had a shower and was washing her hair for about 5 minutes on her own when We went back to the room the whole corridor was flooded due the shower room drain been blocked. Then about 20 minutes after she slipped and banged her head on the hard floor. We witnessed a staff member wash the trowells on a balcony by hand then just hanging them up to dry before giving them out as fresh trowells. I pulled back the bed from the wall and the skirting board was full of dust and there was magazines and leaflets which had dust on them. We never unpacked was told the rep would come on Monday to move us in to another hotel. Monday came and the rep informed us that no hotel rooms where spare. So we had to stay at this dump. And was told we should be paying more. We told them to go swivel. We have arrived home and now have complained to the tour opperater.

Hotel looks aged and its really dirty in rooms and our “clean” sheets were covered with hair and there was even holes in it. Bed was uncomfortable and it was hard to fall asleep because walls are so thin. Theres no hair dryer in rooms but you can lend it for 3lev. Also there is airport shuttle and u have to stay min. 10 nights or pay 20€(per car). But if u want to go by bus there are stairs behind the hotel(between varshava and havana hotel) and about 150m right theres bus stop(bus 409) which leads to airport.

Stayed here for 10 days in mid September on a 10 night budget holiday including breakfast. We were expecting something truly horrendous after reading previous reviews, but were surprised that it was OK. However it could be improved on. So here's what we found to be the Pros and Cons. PROS Location - 10mins walk to beach past bars/restaurants/shopping units but our room was quite so had no problem sleeping. Supermarkets and pharmacy right next door. Staff - friendly and helpful, even charged up my partners phone twice as he forgot his charger Room - good size, plain white (though furniture looks old and dated, including communal areas), had good sized fridge and very old tv with local channels, cleaned every day and towels replaced when we made it obvious we needed new ones by leaving them on the floor. Balcony - table n chairs and a bit of extra space so plenty of room (our neighbours sat out sometimes and had space for their lidos/ beach inflatables there too) there was a clothes line with a few pegs so found it useful for hanging out wet swimsuits Pool - fair size and had a small shallow section, refreshing after getting too hot in the sun, plenty of sun loungers/mats/umbrellas but we were there at the end of the season CONS Bathroom - good size wet room style BUT flaking paint and plaster on the ceiling, our shower gel always seemed to be covered in a layer of white dust and we sometimes found little bits of paint/plaster on the bathroom floor Sheets - old, and should be changed more often (my partner wasn't sure if they changed the sheets or just put them back on the bed?) Breakfast - Terrible and awful, really bad quality and no fruit. Also looked like they put out last night's leftover dinner for breakfast, like cold pasta with feta type cheese on top. We really used the fridge to get things from the supermarket and brought coffee up and ate on the balcony Apart from that around the pool area could do with some tidying up but we could see they were doing some of that when we were there, wiFi is only free in reception communal areas/ outside tables and was adequate for checking Facebook n emails and there is a small charge for WiFi in your room if you want

Had booked this hotel as last-minute deal(first mistake.) So arrived here at 4.00am in the morning. Upon seeing this place my first impression was "What a dump" my second impression was "What a Bloody dump" and my third impression was "What a F####ing dump". From this point thing went downhill, we got a hovel, I mean a room on the 2nd floor and cause we were tired went to bed. Sleep didn't come easily as there was a bunch of teenagers running up and down corridors banging on every door added to this was lack of air condition, all sorts of nationalities competing against each other to see who could be the loudest and the endless horrible smoke from evil smelling cigarettes drifting through the windows. We put up with this for two days then requested a move, which to be fair, they gave us. We then got a room on the 7th floor, unfortunately we were put next to four East Europeans who glorified in slamming doors all night, smoked constantly, shouted and bawled every time they talked to each other.(Why can't young people talk to each other quietly?~) The worst thing about them though was that they only really came alive about 8.00pm to about 10.00pm when they would go out, they generally came back in between 2-3.00am and that's when the shouting, banging on doors and slamming of doors would continue. To add balance to this review there were a couple of good points, ........em, .........eh,.........Oh yeah, some of the staff were very pleasant and the breakfast was edible if like me, you make do with toast & Tea. NB: Like all cheap hotels the world over, the breakfast cereal cornflakes were like cardboard with very little taste. The rooms were really dated and to say they were tired was a bit like saying "Rip-Van-Winkle liked a nap." NB: Time for another positive, "Sheets and Towels were cleaned and changed regularly" although in some cases at this hotel, it probably wasn't necessary as some of the young people seemed to be having an amnesty from soap & water. Despite the above we still managed to enjoy our holiday in Bulgaria, difficult as it was, and we did meet loads of decent Bulgarian people. Travelling into Varna on a local bus should not be missed and the prices of everything in this country is so cheap that it would force, "A Wee Scotsman to dip into his sporran" Lastly this hotel is in the centre of a really lively location and does not lend itself to R&R(American Term) If you want a quiet time avoid this hotel like the plaque, on second thoughts, "Do not book this hotel under any circumstances" You have been Warned!!!!

My advice is DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT BOOKING THIS PLACE! It is an absolute dump. The pictures used to advertise this hotel are nothing like the room we had, which in my opinion was nothing more than a prison cell. The food was terrible as was the hospitality. The bedroom door didn't close properly. The mattresses on the beds were thin to say the least. The hotel was in the middle of a 'party zone' with local bars/clubs etc not closing before 5am. None of this was mentioned in the write up of the hotel. An absolute disgrace.

Recently returned from a week (very late booked) from staying in this hotel with my boyfriend. When we arrived, we weren't greeted with a hello, it was simply "passports.." And then given our key, I didn't know what floor our room was on so when I asked reception they looked at me blankly and didn't understand what I was talking about. So I guessed. Floor 6, which gave me a great view of massive trees which I just about saw some of the sky. Oh yes, we were promised a satellite TV and a fridge, we got neither, asked reception and got no response so I gave up. Even though you can see where the fridge was supposed to go and there was a TV cable hanging over our desk. We didn't get clean towels daily, the floor was not swept or mopped during cleaning hours which left dirt and sandy particles everywhere including the bed, my boyfriend got his bedding all chalky from the walls. The decor in the rooms were extremely ancient, looks like something that was created during the Stone Age. And the "wet shower room" which I was in the shower for no longer than 5 minutes, water was not even being drained through the tiny hole in the floor, causing water to spill out the door and into the corridor, which was a nightmare, I had to have very quick showers even though the leaking of water situation continued to happen. The lift is quite unsafe as there is no solid door that separates the actual elevator door (non existing door!) from you, quite unsafe especially for smaller children. Staff just looked fed up of being there and didn't even crack a smile once whilst I was there. The only plus side was probably the pool area as the sun is on one side of the pool for the majority of the day and you are about 2-3 minutes walk away from the beach, the strip containing restaurants, bars, shops, souvenir places and supermarkets. However we did have to spend more money as we weren't given a fridge to keep any drinks or food cold during the day and night, and because breakfast was probably the worst thing I've set my eyes on ever, this caused us to have a tight budget for the week. But we managed. Just a shame about the hotel. Don't expect to get any sleep by the way, constant banging and the other surrounding hotels seem to have a competition on who can play the loudest music throughout the night.
