You have to pay for drink in the dining room. In the last day we didn't have any room service. Free wifi only in reception and you need pay extra if you want it in your room. The hotel is o.k for the price and location is nice very to close to the bus station / main road.

It is OK if you are not looking for something 'extra'. Simple and clean budget hotel. Nice pool, terrible coffee, tidy rooms, abysmal free WiFi, that kind of place.
In any case the sea is always there ;)

Just returned from my first visit to bulgaria and here is my review. Few things that i found whilst here... All inclusive was basic as in all soft drinks were free and local beer and wine however if you wanted a cheeky cocktail it had to be paid for (surely all inclusive means all inclusive right?) tea and coffee had to be paid for unless in the allocated time slot of 3pm( not good if you are anything like me and have a caffiene havit at 9am in the morning!) room was clean everyday and the pool was nice and clean. Staff were very helpful and friendly and pointed me in the right direction of things to do. Evening entertainment i had to source myself which as a solo traveller was ok.
If you wanted to access the internet to skype or general browse was only available for free in the lobby, access for the internet was available in the rooms at 25lev for 7 days ideal if you needed it - as travelling alone found it useful for me to have.
Weather was nice to me so i cant complain. For all inclusive i wouldnt recommend as very basic but depends on what you are looking for. On a whole my trip to bulgaria i found that there is very little to do (maybe beacuse of end of season) explored 3 days out of 7 but once i had seen the parts of golden sands it was very much the same. Lots of bars and restaurants along the beach front.

I got one star because I can't give null.

All-inclusive offers only beer, wine, and lunch, nothing else compares to HB so it was a waste of money.

The food was low quality (the cheapest products).

Tap water smelled like chlorine.

The hotel staff was unpolite e.g. when I wanted coffee in a glass (not in a plastic cup) there were a lot of rude comments.

I don't recommend this place.

You are able to find a better one at a similar price and a better location in Golden Sands.

Only one thing I rate well, was a clean room, fresh towels every day, and polite room service.

Regards, Marcin.

I have just turned back from my holiday spent at Ljuljak hotel, in
Golden Sands.
We were very pleased with this hotel. It is a cosy hotel, near the
forest, with a lot of green spaces. The pool has free beds and roses
and all sort of green plants. It is a very beautiful spot.
We had an apartment with 2 rooms, each had separate air conditioning,
plenty of storage spaces and a large wardrobe, on single bed and 2 twin
beds put side by side.
We had a nice balcony overlooking to the forest. During the night time
we have left a small window opened and the lime smell was invaded our
room. It was very nice.
The room was cleaned every day, also the towels were changed on a
daily basis. The cleaning lady made some nice figures from fresh changed
towels.
The TV set was rather small and we could not see the programs clear, but
who needs a TV when is spending the holiday at the seaside. The restaurant
was very nice, with a few tables set outside. We always enjoyed
our breakfast and dinner on the terrace.
The food was good and plenty.- 2 type of soups, fresh fruits, a lot of other
dishes, and cakes. Each day we have tasted something different.
The hotel is situated at 7 minutes walking, away from the beach, close
to Melia hotel.
Another good thing for those that are traveling by car- you have a free
parking spot at the hotel. so you do not have to be worried about the fact
that the car would be picked up. We had very nice weather and the sea was
calm and warm.
We enjoyed every minute of our staying in this hotel and I will definitely turn back.

At check in they gave us room 511, on the top of the floor which had a very hot and closed air since the corridor, and in the room it got even worst. I came back to the reception and asked for another room, because I have a baby (11 month old) and I can't not stay with him in these conditions.. at first the receptionist said that I have to wait until tomorrow to speak with the manager.. and when I told her that I don't have conditions for this, with a louder voice.. she succeeded to call her manager and to change our room with 111.
You feel in the elevator that at any time it's about to crush ! Creepy...
The all-inclusive IS NOT ALL-INCLUSIVE !!! The food is awful, breakfast it's the same every day.. eggs in all of it's forms, tomato, cucumber, cheese, jam, butter and a fruit. At lunch, all-those they have some food, it's not good. At dinner, the same food as lunch, but transformed in something else, nothing is lost !!! The dispenser machines are not available but until 10:00 AM, if you wanted a hot chocolate or a coffee after 10:00 AM you had to PAY FOR IT. THEY DON'T HAVE NO SNACK BAR.
Saturday (we checked in Wednesday), I went to the reception to ask her to call for the maid, to change our sheets and the towels, because it passed 4 days and she didn't do that. Sunday I went again, and until I haven't made the receptionist to call the maid on that exact moment, she wouldn't have done it. Monday, after lunch our baby has asleep and the maid wanted to clean out room, but we did not opened the door to not wake him up, and she left the toilet paper on the knob (see the photo) and she didn't come back to pick up the garbage all day long.
Rooms were not clean, and the bathroom had a smell (like it was public toilet).
Pool was 4 leva a coin (play 1 game), and the ping-pong was 3 leva per hour.
At check out, we had to wait at the reception, until the maid checked the room, and gave the OK to the receptionist.. UGLY THING !!!

I don't recommend this hotel to anybody, and never return to it again !!!

worst hotel I've ever stayed in, the most uncomfortable split bed, very ugly room and smelt unpleasant,

Discusting behaviour from the staff, got treated badly because we were english.

we were asked if we were english in the pool by the lifeguard and said yes, he then said if we wanted to use a laylo that was there we would have to pay. he then gave 2 out to 2 different girls and said nothing to them.

also in the restaurant we went to have a glass of water and were asked again if english, said yes and then were told we can't have any with food unless we pay her. she then looked the other way when a dozen other people got drinks and only 2 or 3 had all inclusive bands on.

the only nice thing was the nice man on reception, tall slim dark hair man who was really pleasant.

over all a shocking experience, if i was you id pay more elsewhere

I have just returned from my visit to Bulgeria, staying at this hotel with my partner, we had booked only a week before and knew very little about the hotel or the area, usually we are very we'll organised but took a stab in the dark. When we arrived at the hotel in the early hours after only a 30minute transfer from Varna Airport, we where greeted at reception with a food bag filled with sandwiches and fruit and a bottle of water which was very pleasant as it had been a long journey, the staff where nice and helpful, when we got to our room we was both very surprised it was very spacious with a good sized bed, TV a couch and balcony, it was very clean tidy, 1St day dinner was disappointing as it was cold and not much choice, but throughout the week the food did improve and get better and apart from the 1st day the food was always hot, the TV doesn't have English channels and don't expect to be bumping into other English people at the hotel or in fact this area as it is mainly Russians and Germans, the pool area is fantastic and a great place to chill and enjoy a few drinks and to take a swim if you want to use the balls or pool stuff then they do charge you 2levs, the pool is 3lev not worth it as a ball is missing and it's very slanted one way, people in the hotel was nice everyone looked as if the was having a good time, the staff was all very nice and helpful when needed, the hotel was kept to a good standard and housekeeping was always on the ball, to get to the main strip is a short walk down a hill which you will be along the beach. I would revisit this hotel as I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would recommend it to other people. Advised wifi in lobby is questionable at times, but don't expect wifi in rooms its 5lev it works everywhere except the room.

Although this is a clean basic hotel the staff do not speak unless spoken to. The restaurant evening meal food is not hot and is very plain. Breakfast is same choices every day - the cooked stuff not hot either. The swimming pool is pleasant enough. The rooms were cleaned exceptionally well and linen/towels changed regularly.
