This is a beautiful hotel but the biggest problems are the staff food and drink. Check In - Was not the quickest, no welcome drinks or bottles of water. To many members of staff are rude unhelpful or to busy treating it like there own meeting place with there friends which then becomes loud and no service for drinks until they have left. The standard of food was poor, overcooked, cold, and lack of choices. The drinks got worse as the week went by. We visted the sister hotel next door and what a difference in the choices of food and drinks and the tastes to.
Overall a good place to stay. It is very noisy, it is like a party hotel, i could not sleep for 3 days in a row because of the noise from the terrace and i stayed at the sixth floor. The food is average. If you want to relax, this is not the place for it, this is a place for party and noise.
We've decided to visit this hotel, as we were here last year and we were very pleased with everything, client service, hygiene.. Etc. It looks like we were in completely different hotel.. This year the hygiene is on zero level,vusomers marching through the inner spaces of the resort without masks, the service is awful, the housekeeping is missing, if it wasn't for the changed towels I will not recognizer if housekeeper has visited the room. We are completely disappointed.
The hotel is beautiful but the biggest problem is the food and drink. Last year I stayed in the same complex but the adult wing, at Riu Palace, where everything was impeccable, the best from Sunny Beach. This year we chose the Riu Helios hotel because we had a child with us. I'm not picky about food or drink, but I really couldn't eat anything, especiallyj ba at lunch. I talked to the manager and even explained the hotel is so nice but they continue to serve the same tasteless food. The manager offered to upgrade me to the hotel only adults from the same complex but having a child with us it was impossible (the hotel is only adults) I would never choose the Riu Helios hotel again, if you don't have a child don't think about it and choose the Riu Palace hotel for a small price difference you have another quality I didn't think that 2 hotels in the same complex could differ as much in food as in drinks. I really enjoyed my stay at the hotel. We visited Bulgaria for the first time and were not disappointed. The hotel has a large beautiful area, lots of sunbeds that need to be occupied in advance if there are a lot of holidaymakers. The water in the pools is warm. Kids have something to do. Beach clean, good restaurant, sand clean, sunbeds enough for everyone. The food is delicious, we visited all the A la carte restaurants, reservations must be made on arrival, free of charge. I enjoyed the food everywhere. Cocktails are not very tasty. The service staff is weak, but that didn’t bother us. The hotel is in a quiet location, next to the bus stop, taxi, free access everywhere. Choose this hotel and I don't think you will be disappointed.
I was impressed about staying in this hotel. Everything stands up for high standart and service. I didn't expect my staying will be as good as I planned. Food was delicious. Drinks in bars are good as well. Pools are big, chairs near pools were more than enough (from my info, hotel was full). Entertainment team was doing it's job and invited to do different activities to cheer up public. They did understood decline and were not "pushy". A little minus I would give for beach location. I expected to be a bit closer. Also chairs in beach were more than enough. About covid situation: There are many reminders (stickers on walls and elevators) to wear mask and keep distance from each other while inside hotel. Staff only asks to wear a mask when going to breakfast and dinner. Any other time it's fine to walk around hotel without a mask. Don't get me wrong, for me as a vaccinated person it's fine and was a bit of relief. Almost all street markets in sunny beach (~1km from hotel via promenade) were working and also didn't require a mask to shop. Everything works until 24.00, after that you're fine to walk around hotel and streets, but all events and street markets will end till that.…
We were here during the covid pandemic. Service was perfect, so was the room. Water in the pool seemed a bit cold to me. Animation was very good. Variety of food was not the same as we are used to in a RIU hotel, but it was absolutely acceptable.
Nice, clean and A little bit far from the beach. The staff is friendly and professional. The place is clean and you even see staff cleaning the place on a regular basis. Good safety measures to prevent COVID-19 spreading (a lot of space in the restaurant, sanitizer, temperature monitoring). It's near the beach, there are several pools, several bars and even 4 restaurants that are all-inclusive. The drinks that are included are superior to other hotels, higher quality and lots more to choose from (even cocktails). The only down side so far is that possible moan mattress are uncomftable and pillows even worse other than that, it's amazing. But here comes the worst part my 3 year old got sick and there was a medical center so we took her there just to check her ear and throat after a 15 minutes consultation they give us a check on 360 Leva an equivalent of 180 euros almost its the most ridiculous and overpriced consultation we have ever been to its a complete rip off. Plus 100 more euros for the two medicaments. It's really sad because the hotel has potential but the way it is right now it's just like a sinking ship. …
The hotel itself is nice and new. The room was spacious and facilities are clean and well maintained. The animation team was really great. The main problem is the rather poor food quality in all the restaurants. The lunch menu is the worst I have ever seen - some of the meals simply not edible. The drinks are then a complete disaster - terrible wines and beer and cocktails without alcohol but with solid portion of artificial sweeteners and colors. Given the price we paid it was totally overpriced so my advice would be to avoid this place.
Our holiday began in July.17.2020. We arrived at 12:40 p.m. At 12:45 p.m. we have been already accomodated, together with a surprise compliment by the hotel. Our superior room has a magnificent view towards the Old Nessebar. There were lots of strong health measurements taken in connection with the spreading of Covid 19, but this didn't reflect upon our comfort and relaxation. All the rooms were very clean and well-kept as well as all the places nearby the swimming-pools and the beach. Food was exceptionally delicious, that's why we want to thank and congratulate the chef, all the cookers, the manager and all the staff of the restaurant. The personnel was highly concerned about our comfort and they were extremely kind and obliging. It was a great and really relaxing holiday for us and we want to thank to the whole hotel's personnel. We have already recommended the place to our friends. We are surely going to visit the RIU chain again. We sincerely thank you a lot!…
