4 star not a chance,we have just returned from here and this hotel is terrible. We have stayed here before just before lock down and my god this place has gone down hill. The staff are so rude the food is disgusting only good thing was the view from our balcony and that was only after we were made to pay for a room move although we asked for a sea view at time of booking. We tried speaking to the Balkan rep who was a total waste of space and also Balkan head office next to the hotel where we were met with a very rude lady and also a waste of space. Rooms are very dirty showers in room are disgusting and don’t get me started on the stinking dirty sun bed covers. Please don’t waste your hard earned money on booking this at best 1 star hotel. This place needs shut down completely ripped out and start again, maybe also get some staff who want to help. Many people we spoke to around the pool also had the same complaints as us. THINK AGAIN BEFORE BOOKING THIS DUMP

Stayed here for a week just got home today. Hotel used to be amazing but gone right downhill. Staffs attitude is disgusting particularly Doris at reception, always sound like they can't be bothered. Room cleanliness awful, no instructions on how to work things, door frames falling apart and we paid for a family room and got a twin room with a single chair bed which was so uncomfortable. When asked to change we was met with a disgusting response!! Rooms weren't cleaned everyday and had to use dirty towels until they were, ended up complaining to reception to be told cleaners had gone home for the day. The outside bar staff were amazing and so friendly, the man at night always remembered our order and was lovely to chat too, the young woman was lovely too, they definitely carried the holiday for many people!! The location was brilliant and in the middle but unfortunately these are the only good points. I've stayed here 5 times and with this experience, I definitely wouldn't return again.

Not sure where the blame lies, but be very careful when booking the Globus Hotel Sunny Beach, Bulgaria, through Balkan Holidays. Was it ourselves for missing in the small print where it says 12 and 8 floors, but in our defence all you see in the brochure are pictures of a lovely hotel of 8 floors and not the separate high rise part. Could it be the hotel for only opening the more like 2 star part, right was right next door to an all night disco that finished about 5 am every day, this is who Balkan Holidays blame. Or is it Balkan holidays for not informing their clients that prior to high season which starts around the end of June, referring us to the terms and conditions where it states that not all facilities are always available. Like the on site A La Carte restaurant, the 2nd restaurant, the nicer part of the hotel complex which several guests we spoke to had stayed in previously and gave a good report of , no time of your life package in the room, no mini bar, or the indoor pool, which was opened after we complained, but really needed a good clean. It all started with a surprise when reception allocated us room 1202 didn’t even occur to us that it meant the twelfth floor so we went off to the lifts in search of our room. We immediately complained that we didn’t want to be that high up as my wife struggles using stairs due to a recent accident when she broke her kneecap. The response was we should have asked for a room on a low floor, I explained why would we when it only looked like it had 7 floors of bedrooms which we thought we could manage in an emergency or if the lifts broke down, which the two in use did constantly but fortunately only one at a time. After getting the run around between the rep, the hotel reception and the Balkans HQ which was behind the hotel for 2 days, we finally got to speak to the elusive manager who moved us to the seventh floor. Just for the record it wasn’t just us that complained it was a constant stream of guests, every time new ones arrived, in the end we felt sorry for the reception staff and just tried to enjoy our 2 star holiday, watching the young new born seagulls on the roof tops below our small balcony not worth the extra we paid for it. The main room is similar to the photos in the brochure but very tired and in need of a refurb, the bathroom has to be the smallest we have every seen. The corner shower unit was a joke, about 3 ft square with 2 small sliding doors, one man we spoke to couldn’t even fully get in it, so he showered one side at a time. After various exchanges of emails once we returned home Balkan Holidays still fail to see why they should have informed us that part of the hotel was closed, I didn’t expect a refund, just to recognise that they should have informed us about part of the hotel being closed would have been fine, I gave them three opportunities to apologise but all we got was read the terms and conditions and if we book again we might get a 5 or 7.5% discount. Why on earth would we book with them if this is how they treat their clients. So fellow holiday makers be warned if booking for an early break, get it in writing that what is in the brochure is what you will get.

Me and my family staid at hotel Globus, and I would NOT recommend this to anyone. The restaurant food was not eatable, the staff was angry and not welcoming:. We have to order drinks for the “all in clusive dinner” and we got the drinks after we were done eating. The room cards work 1/4 of the time and the elevators wore hopeless. It was only pillows fore Halv of the sun beds and is was never available beds to tan. The music at the hotel bar was playing really really loud music at the nights. Also overpriced

No way a 4 star hotel, grand entrance but everything else not great, tbh for some things I wouldn't even say a 3. First room we got see the pictures... complained had to pay extra for a room (which they say I opted for no balcony) when the room we paid extra for had the same size balcony. The rep was arrogant and was looking around when complaint nothing they could do till manager next day. Lost a day, next morning come back at this time, then come back again. Card given for new room all my partner could see was sunlight.... all I could see was we had access to a room that people were already in. Moved rooms the shower disintegrated day 3 so no shower for a day. It's always the next day. They hadn't even written the job in the book so wouldn't have been done if not chased up. Customer service from reception not the best, cleaning well.... you lucky if you get clean towels or toilet roll (I asked for one got offered half used one) people were taking them from the main toilets to their rooms or buying them. Bed never got changed. I even made the bed one day as it should be, they came in and changed the shape of it to show they'd done something. We wouldn't let them in after that. I think the cleaning is because of bad management, 3 people doing one room and they not spritely, that was floor 2. Mosquito doors dont shut, stains on carpets. You can't sit at bar if you don't buy a drink. A family couldn't get any sun beds so sat at tables round pool and was having fun, kids in pool etc. Staff came up and told her to buy a drink. I could honestly go on go on and on. People we spoke to had the same gripes. See pics of our first view and had to pay to be moved. Positive note staff at bar were polite and not for just wanting tips. I don't do reviews but felt I had to so people can make their own judgement if they go there. Think they have opened before they fully ready. One more point (sorry) no-one if booked evening meal package who we met ate it, went out each night and paid extra.

Stayed at the globus sunny beach for 2 weeks and there is no way this a 4 star. First off when you see all the pictures online it looks amazing what they don’t show you is the tall building beside the main building a 13 story crap hole. Carpet was stained and dirty balcony was filthy. The shower was designed for a child My shoulders were touching each side impossible to wash your feet. Breakfast was ok but the rest was terrible. Also if your young and like clubbing this is the spot for you. There is a an open air club that blasts music and a screaming dj that goes on until 6 in the morning right beside the hotel so unless you’re deaf as a post I would not book here. I have never ever left a bad review but I think people should no this before they book it oh and most of the staff are miserable as hell but then again if I worked here I would be to.

Globus only got 1 for the comfy bed. Arrived 3am on Sunday 12th to the nightly loud pounding music till 5am. Everyone had problems with the music and lack of sleep. Be aware this hotel is two buildings with a huge reception to link them together.and we stayed in the tall old outdated many problems building rather than the advertising photos of the newer building which shows all the photos. This part of the hotel opened on 17/6/2022 and has the pool and 64 sun beds for nearly 300 rooms. Many issues with our room including grafetti on the toilet seat, hard to flush, leaking, mould in the shower, narrow entrance to enter shower and the shower head attached flush to the wall. Note as the hotel had been shut from September 2019 till May 2022 it smells very musty with no character to make you feel welcome. The restaurant food was cool and not very appetising. At breakfast bought in pancakes has a film of fat on them and cold. On Sunday 12th at 8 pm we were the only two people in the restaurant eating. To us it appeared that the food is put out at opening time and as footfall is low then it’s still the same at closing time. The hotel section we stayed in on the fourth floor with a sea view I cannot stress enough how loud the music is. As we left on 18th Amigo bar exactly opposite had its doors open and promises the party does not stop. Many people were at reception room hopping in the hope to sleep. The 4 star rating and a la carte restaurant definitely isn’t where we stayed. We met people who prior to covid came here for years and loved it. Not now they were envious at us leaving on Saturday and would have changed places with us. On our arrival all the guests waiting to go home couldn’t wait to get on the plane like us the following week and we were so pleased to be home. Our welcome booklet first page was the cost of 28 items if we broke them with the negative guests and loud music not a good start to our week. So take earplugs, the check in desk at Manchester airport opens 3 hours before flight and each Saturday afternoon the plane is always late. It’s easy to change currency, beer is cheap but food is only a fraction cheaper than UK prices. Nessebar is a definite to visit either by boat 15 bl each one way or 2bl one way on the bus. Sunny beach full of bars, counterfeit goods, parrots, snakes, reptiles, hair braiding, supermarkets, pharmacies, artists, fairground rides as well as clubs and sex shops. I hope if you go you choose better than us. The lack of sleep ruined it for us completely. One couple came home one week early and another gentleman took a pharmacy recommended natural sleeping tablet took 2 and overdosed and ended up in hospital. Everyone was unhappy reception just moved guests if they could but really don’t care. Nothing to say good about this hotel. Sorry we won’t be coming back ever again.
