We stayed in the hotel with family - 2 adults and 2 kids.
First to mention is that hotel have 3 different housings, only one is equipped with elevator, so this should be taken into consideration if you have trolley. Rooms are pretty clean, but in some of them it's quite challenging to fit extra bed and baby cot.
Staff was friendly, especially we enjoyed lovely attention of housekeeping ladies (!) and separate regards should be passed to massage specialist Detelina (sorry if I mixed name, but there is only one that good and with friendly smile).
Location of the hotel is good in any cases - beach is not far, bus station is not far, it's not so noisy as in the city center, however the bars, cafes and cozy restaurants are all around.
Comparing to other similar category hotels, Balaton has quite big, green and cozy territory and really nice pool.
Food was not very different, but good taste and quality. The choice was poor, but do not forget in what category you are staying! So in this case it was adequate and neither us or kids remain hungry.
So, in general, if you are ready to stay in 2* - Balaton can be really good choice. Enjoy holidays.

First of all, I'd have to start by emphasizing the quality-price level of this hotel. It is definitely what you pay for it. It's cheap and therefore lacks some conveniences but that was expected when we made the booking.

The problem of the hotel, however, is its rude and careless staff. On arrival, we were met by two members of the staff who clearly did not speak English and issued invoices in only Bulgarian. Some younger members of the staff, however, did appear to understand English and weren't so clueless.

Furthermore, I bumped almost butt naked into room service who knocked on the door only once and opened the door a second afterwards. I did manage to slip into the bathroom but I heard no apologies whatsoever.

Breakfast was average or slightly below average.

One of the worst cons was the lack of AC. We clearly used the hotel for getting a 8-9 hour sleep but it was somewhat impossible when the AC was out of order.

Now the pros. The hotel is soooo close to the beach - approximately a 5min walk if even that. It also has a lovely pool, a pool bar, and there are some outdoor games available (badminton if I remember correctly).

All in all, it's worth its value.

Nice hotel.. The food was really good - really tasty, not so much to choose from, but we always chose something. Staff was really friendly!! We absolutely loved them. Rooms wasn’t that bad.. Be careful with WC locker :D. But like I wrote, rooms were average. I really recommend this hotel, you will be more than happier.

Hotel location is excellent - close to the city center, close to some clubs and close to the beach.
Room was great - good view, cleaned daily, good wifi and great curtains.
Most of the time we ate at the restaurant the food was very good and price was quite low to be honest.
It is a great budget hotel that gives so much more.
We`ll certainly revisit when in sunny beach

We spend a few nights in the middle of July.
Hotel is very easy to find. Check in was swift. Room was small, but good enough for 2. Breakfast was nice and the thing that surprise me is the fact that the breakfast buffet was different each day.
Pool was clean.
The only thing that I really don't like is the WiFi, no connection in the rooms and very poor signal at the reception.
Anyway the hotel is great value for the money that you pay. 2* hotel, don't expect red carpets, concierge services, etc.

I came here with my boyfriend for a week and we both enjoyed the hotel a lot. The rooms were clean and very nice with a bathroom. The staff was nice and helpful but spoke more German than English. Internet connection was only in the hotel lobby. We ate breakfast and dinner at the hotel which wasn't all that great but good enough. The location of the hotel is very good with plenty of bars and restaurants down the street and shopping markets. A little "grocery" store is location right in front of the hotel. The pool is really cold when we went which most people enjoyed in that heat. The beach, which is maybe 500 meters away, was okay. The water wasn't clear and jellyfish were found all over the shore. For a quick getaway, it's perfect!

Ok so some of the reviews have slated this hotel in my opinion wrongly as it is only classed as 2*. It’s true that you get what you pay for. We arrived at night time, checked in, were given our key ( only one given out per room) and the air con remote. We couldn’t find the lift to get to the 3rd floor. When we ask the in reception where it was we were told there wasn’t a lift in the block we were in but one of the staff carried our case up the stairs for us. The room is basic, a bit dated and is a bit small with 2 single beds and adequate storage space. But is was very clean. It also has a small fridge which we used a lot! The balcony is quite narrow with just enough room for a table and two chairs and a clothes horse. We had a back room and the view from the balcony wasn’t the best. The shower was brilliant, really powerful and the water was always hot. The room was cleaned every day with the beds made up every day too. The beds were a bit hard but I didn’t mind that and the pillow adequate. The cover sheet was a bit dated and thin but with the weather being so hot We didn’t mind. The towels were only changed twice but when we asked for extra they were there the next morning. There was a problem with the sink leaking and having no plug but after telling the guys on reception, the problem was fixed the day after. The staff are all really friendly and cannot do enough for you. We were only Bed and Breakfast so can only comment on the breakfast food which was ok, nothing special - ham, cheese bread rolls, sausages and choice of salad and fruit. Outside the hotel there are loads of restaurants and bars to go to, our favourite being The Harp just a few feet from the hotel which we would highly recommend. The beach is a 5-10 min walk away and the main centre of Sunny Beach where the clubs and casinos are is about a 15 min walk away. For what we paid for the holiday we have given the hotel 3 stars as it was ideally located, clean with really nice staff - a great base for a week’s holiday
