The hotel COULD be great! The service totally let's it down. The rooms need updating and so old fashioned with stains and dust! The cleaning of the rooms is awful and you have to pester them to hoover, change bedding and clean the room. They also before 9am and knock on your door, this is a holiday and not work, this should be done after the breakfast period surely! Reception unhelpful and didn't speak English. The food is decent for what should be a 3 star hotel and we liked the scenic restaurant and its style. The pool area is great as are the drinks and the bar and the staff are ok, not friendly but not rude. We overall had a good time as did not expect a 4 star hotel so if you go accepting this you can and will have a good time!
The food was delicious, but the bar in the lobby and the secrets of the employees were amazing. For example, it's all inclusive, so if you ask the person in the lobby bar for your WiFi password, you might have to pay, so ask the lobby (of course no one has to pay), even at meals. many things happened. I was looking forward to it, but I was disappointed. I was disappointed because I felt unpleasant even though it was a high trip through a travel agency. Are all Bulgarian people like this?
Dj Sisko is the best, very good evning programs, thank you for the fun :), also good restorant, the rooms are super, we will come again. We was here with frends and every body enjoi the vacantion. All perfect
I would like to start by explaining that this was not a family holiday. I was a chaps get together to celebrate a friends stag party. We were not the 'usual' stag group, we were (are) older chaps, and this hotel was chosen on the basis it was cheap. Room was fine, clean, and wuite large. Plenty of room for two chaps, The balcony was very grimy and the furniture dirty. I would now like to move onto the food and restaurant area........ It was apalling !!!! The food was practically uneatable, it was lukewarm, and wholly unappetising. Uncomfortable chairs and benches to eat from, Dirty filthy courtyard to eat in. There a small indoor area to take your meals in, but his was quite noisy. There three small bars serving local beers and spirits, beer was fine, but the local spirits were firewater. For a lads week away, it was adequate ...... I think that is the best thing I can say about this place,. It was adequate.…
Had a great week at Trakia Plaza very quiet as it was early September but nevertheless we all had a great time. The kids loved the pool an slides and the all inclusive package was what we expected (dont expect 5 star for 3 star prices). Bedroom clean an spacious as was the hotel, total of 3 bars which are open 10am till 11pm. Downside was the female staff who were ignorant an always on the phones male staff though were very chatty and accommodating ( cheers Adrian). Overall a lovely family break which we all enjoyed.
Having read mixed reviews about this hotel we were optimistic from the outset. We like many families would make the best of any situation however, this hotel we really struggled with for many reasons. Whilst Bulgaria is a lovey resort, we found the hotel does not cater for British families at all. They made no effort to attempt to understand you, nor did they incorporate this into the entertainment for the kids. They staff and guests are quite rude, we couldn’t wait to leave. The hotel itself was clean (be it very outdated) and the rooms were spacious, this is where the positives end. I would never stay in this hotel again, nor would I recommend it. I would not usually write a review, I do so in the hope I can save another family the same displeasure we had staying here. The food was nothing short of disgusting slop that was served cold constantly, we have stayed in many all-inclusive hotels and this is by far the worst. Not only was it the smallest buffet I had ever seen, it was also the most primitive in choice. The food was disgusting, we actually eat out most of the days for all meals, this meant we spent a lot more than we expected given we paid for all inclusive. The Drinks were also very limited in choice although they do have coke and Fanta for the kids. Usually the kids can survive off chips if nothing else but again, they were mainly served cold and soggy as they had been left after cooking. The layout doesn’t work, you eat outside of the hotel. When the entertainment finishes, you have to walk back out into the pool area into the pool bar to get a drink then all the way back to the entertainment area. we only done this twice before we decided to do away with it all together as we couldn’t understand what they were saying, no effort was made for them to say it in English as well as the other languages. My daughter is 8 and couldn’t join in with and clubs or night entertainment. Lastly, they provide you with hard scatter cushions to sleep on. It really was the worst hotel we have stayed in, if you are thinking of booking this hotel, please don’t. I hope this is helpful to someone x…
Dispite reading some negative reviews i decided to book two rooms for me and some friends and we actually had a very pleasant experience. The staff was great, the receptionist that checked us in was very kind and spoke English fluently. We checked in just on time at 02:00. The rooms were comfortable and we managed to have a great holiday. Would recommend if you're looking for a relaxing vacation with a bunch of mates.
The hotel was very good. Receptionist s were kind and smiled. The food was great and delicious.it was pleasurefor me and my friends to accommodate in this great hotel. I liked it and we are going to come next summer againg.
Hey guys, i want to share my experience in Trakia Plaza 4 stars hotel. First of all this is very big and beautiful place. There are 3 diferent bar places, big pool and nice restaurant with very delicious food. My room was enough great to feel myself at home and to have a good rest in it after long, hot and amazing day in Sunny beach. Actually Sunny beach is very hot place u can have nice day at the beach, or u can go to party all night with a lot of different people by nationality. The peoples who worked in the hotel were very friendly, kind and they were always in a good mood. This was my best vacation from all. I had amazing moments in Trakia Plaza. Thank you for everything.
We visited Trakia Plaza Hotel as a family of 4, 2 adults, 2 children. We arrived at 12 but could not check in until 2 and were not allowed to use the hotel facilities until then. Check in was easy. The room was spacious but dated. Towels were only changed every other day at best and I don’t think the bed sheets were changed all week. Generally the staff spoke little English, Adrian and Adem on the bars were helpful. The food was extremely limited, not served hot and the staff were not helpful. Breakfast was the best meal of the day (the only time all 4 of us ate something on the menu) but if you got there towards 10am then you only had what was leftover i.e. they didn’t cook any fresh food. The pool was lovely and my children enjoyed the water volley and slides. Most of the time we were able to get a lounger and the pool bar area is ok. There was one other British couple in the complex. We didn’t go to any of the evening entertainment as we only ate in the restaurant in the evening twice and we couldn’t socialise with anyone.…
